Oh Wait Truly The Worst Poem Ever

What is the darkest poem you've ever written?

There are many topics that can come under the word darkest. There is really a huge list. But I will share something darkest I have written recently & which is also one of the major issue most of them are facing & the rate is increasing in the recent years. One of my recent darkest poem is based n depression & suicidal thoughts.A person who is depressed would look like a very normal person, someone who is always smiling, very talkative, always busy, socializing, partying etc etc. But they would be fighting a huge battle with their thoughts, mind & heart. You could have never ever imagined that this person is going through such a tough battle inside them & still smile the whole day & look stunning in front of you & the everyone else… It is very difficult to identify the people who are depressed & who has suicidal thoughts on their mind all the time day in and day out… My darkest porm on depression with suicidal thoughts goes like this:Depression is something many people Suffer Silently. And this is something that just can’t be ignored & needs everyone’s attention, time, support, understanding to help those who are suffering. It is high time people are educated more about it to identify them and help those silent sufferers…Pls Identify those suffering from depression & request everyone to be more understanding, affectionate, caring & empathetic towards them. Pls do not label them rather try to be their strength & help them to come out of this suffering. Please be kind to everyone, if you can’t make someone smile it’s ok, but at least don’t be the reason for their pain & misery. This poem has been written by me & has been posted on YourQuote & on my blog for which you can check the below mentioned link for the same…Views Of Preethi BThanks,With Love,Preethi.B

What is the worst famous poem?

I would say that Joyce Kilmer’s “Trees” is unmatched for its trivial form combined with its trivial content. It is well-parodied by “Threes” by John Atherton. Compare:I think that I shall never seeA poem lovely as a tree.A tree whose hungry mouth is prestAgainst the sweet earth's flowing breast;A tree that looks at God all day,And lifts her leafy arms to pray;A tree that may in summer wearA nest of robins in her hair;Upon whose bosom snow has lain;Who intimately lives with rain.Poems are made by fools like me,But only God can make a tree.I think that I shall never c A # lovelier than 3; For 3 < 6 or 4, And than 1 it's slightly more. All things in nature come in 3s, Like ... , trio's, Q.E.D.s; While $s gain more dignity if augmented 3 x 3 —A 3 whose slender curves are pressed By banks, for compound interest; Oh, would that, paying loans or rent, My rates were only 3%!3² expands with rapture free, And reaches toward infinity; 3 complements each x and y, And intimately lives with pi.A circle's # of ° Are best ÷ up by 3s, But wrapped in dim obscurity Is the square root of -3.Atoms are split by men like me, But only God is 1 in 3.

What does this mean? Its a World War 1 Poem. I Need to draw a picture for the poem. And dont know what it mean

Damn learn to type, or edit :)
the first part to (cleanness leaping)
is (youthful) usefull exuberance.
the second is them wishing to go home to wives (emptiness of love!)
despair and death.
Old soldiers are not bold soldiers. specially in WW1. some shame involved in not being the first over the barricade, out of the trench.

edit the last part seems to say off yourself.

Where there's no ill, no grief, but sleep has mending,
Naught broken save4 this body, lost but breath;
Nothing to shake the laughing heart's long peace there
But only agony, and that has ending;
And the worst friend and enemy is but Death.

Very few did that in WW1. Edit all they had t0o do was stand up a little tall.. easy to die in that war.

Contest!!!!!! Write a short poem!!!?

thiss is my funny short poem....
ill cough ill sneeze
ill smoke so that i could weeze
scalding water would be my bath
just as long as i get out of math
ill put poison ivy in my food
not too mush just a dash
just enough to get a convincing rash
that would get me out of school

no skool today yay

heres another tell me which is better:
shivering
shaking
dying out of fright
hiding
crying
in the middle of the night
oh mom i need you
this is soo not right
there are monsters under the bed!
oh sun plz come out
so the monsters will run and shout
lol
it sounds like im a baby

or this one:
i woke up early today
to see the wind making the beautiful trees sway
the meadows our dotted with beautiful flowers
its spring hooray
i got so excited i fell on my bottom
then i remembered that today
was horribly boring school day
all the work the teachers give Us
while THEY relax and get paid
they make us work until we combust
and hopefully turn into dust
and they re the ones that complain
that we are giving them gray hair
every kid knows
that school is the worst place to be
the only reason im going today
is because of the 20 bucks my mom paid me

please tell me which is best and if they are actually any good

Which is the simple but most motivational poem ever?

This one by John Greenleaf Whittier is the best inspirational poem that I have ever come across. I have mentioned it in one of my other answers, but quoting it here as well. Simple to read, it really strikes a chord and takes you back to those moments of your life when you questioned yourself, even though it was not really worth it.When things go wrong as they sometimes will,When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,When the funds are low and the debts are highAnd you want to smile, but you have to sigh,When care is pressing you down a bit,Rest, if you must, but don't quit.Life is queer with its twists and turns,As everyone of us sometimes learns,And many a failure turns aboutWhen he might have won had he stuck it out,Don't give up though the pace seems slow,You may succeed with another blow.Success is failure turned inside out,The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,And you never can tell how close you are,It may be near when it seems so far,So stick to the fight when you're hardest hitIt's when things seem worst that you must not quit. For all the sad words of tongue or pen,The saddest are these: "It might have been! Thanks for A2A.

What’s the worst book you’ve ever finished reading?

This is not the worst book I’ve ever finished reading (because I have a really hard time giving up on books…not good for a book blogger), but it was certainly the most disappointing.Phillip Pullman’s Golden Compass series was arguably one of the most imaginative and unique series out there. While it isn’t for everyone, the worldbuilding and action was incredible and the plot (two children traveling through universes, trying to kill God) is pretty spectacular. So when, years later, Phillip Pullman decided to write another book in the series, I, like many others, was thrilled! A chance to visit that amazing world again, heck yeah! However that book bored me so much, and I wanted to love it so dearly! The Book of Dust was as dry and tasteless as dust.It was a prequel. Now prequels can be done right, but when you write a book that takes place before the story everyone knows and loves even happens, with whole new characters we care nothing about, you better make it good. It wasn’t. By the time I started to care even a little, the book was over and the next one won’t feature these new characters at all. What was the point? This book added nothing to the series, was weirdly trippy, and the next book is due to be set twenty years later with no focus on any events of this book. Why did I read it again?Oh, the church is becoming evil again. Surprise. This was pretty much the only thing to happen in the book, other than a flood. Suddenly a bunch of church authority figures make everyone wear membership badges and encourage tattling on teachers and students. How could this possibly go wrong? The only thing that truly saved this book from being utterly unforgettable was Pullman’s writing. He is a good writer. But that’s it. It was utterly and unforgivably dull and I swear if his next book isn’t better I will put them on the shelves with the Avatar the Last Airbender movie that does not exist. If you’re actually curious about my slightly less sarcastic official review of the book, I put it here: The Book of Dust - Who Needs Sleep?
