On a scale of 1-10, how hard is it to write a song?
I’m sorry but as a songwriter I had to chime in because the answers are insulting and offensive to me.There is no way to answer that question with a generic answer like many are trying to do and they are foolish for trying to do so. For me on a scale of 1–10 I can’t even answer that because sometimes I can write a song in minutes while other songs may take weeks or even longer. Some songs are a 1 while others are a 10.Now lets talk about people who have no aptitude for song writing and on a scale of 1–10 it would be 100 because it is impossible. Any real songwriter knows that this is a question that has no answer based on the way it is phrased.BTW contrary to the statement about anyone can write a song if they are creative and love music that is just pure and total BS. Over the years I have worked with some fantastic musicians that were very creative but couldn’t write a song to save their lives. Now if I wrote the song the lead guitarist was very creative about adding a lead guitar part on the song but he himself could not write the song.It pisses me off when people minimize and trivialize something that really requires a certain skill set. It’s like saying “How easy is it to build a Hot Rod?” for some people it is pretty easy but for most nearly impossible if not totally impossible. Anyone who says different is a moron.
On a scale of 1-10, how amazing was the latest Game of Thrones trailer?
Well, it got me excited, but mainly because we are heading into uncharted territory. But honestly though it was pretty par for the course. Long shots, long shots, percussive music, a pause followed by blindingly fast shots that are well-photographed but reveal very little. Professionally done with the usual potboiler urgency.I'd give it an 8.

Maybe a 5, because there are some hairy little lefthand runs to fit under the main tune, when it comes on full-force.
