What are the best display settings for my Asus Monitor?

It is an Asus VN247H. I play on a PS3 and play Battlefield 3 and now the Battlefield 4 Beta. I had my brightness pretty high for a while but I noticed some back light bleeding so I am trying to tone my settings down some. Also, if you know settings for ps3, such as deep color settings (on or off) super white (on or off), I would appreciate it.

Monitor for gaming - ASUS VE284H?

Hello community,
I am planning to get back to playing world of warcraft and also wanted to upgrade my monitor. I am wondering if ASUS VE248H (24") will be a good one to play the game in high res setting. I currently use Acer 193W. the only thing that bothers me is that the Asus is 2 ms response time, compared to the 5 ms on acer. some of the reviews point out that the asus monitor does have ghosting problem while moving windows but works very well for gaming. I am pretty much going to use my desktop for gaming, so as far as it can display wow in high res mode, I will be a happy panda.

any suggestions?
thanks in advance.

What are the ideal image settings for the ASUS VH242H monitor?

The 'native' resolution of the monitor is 1920×1080. This is the resolution that the monitor is designed for and works best at, but you can change it to fit your needs as needed.

As for what the 'ideal image settings' are....it's really a personal preference dependent on the user. Everyone will have their own preferences as to how to set the contrast, brightness, resolution, etc...., and will vary from one person to another.

It also depends on the monitor itself. One monitor's setup and colors can vary greatly from one to another, even within the same model type, so it's going to vary from one person to another and from one monitor to another.

There is no 'one' setting to fit all. Just do the best you can with the equipment you have to get the best results possible, otherwise maybe get a different monitor to get different results.

Can I play my PS4 on a computer monitor? If so what are some good monitors around 24-32 inch?

I recently bought this monitor so I could upgrade to 1440p. It has a list price of about $400 but frequently goes on sale. I got mine for $80 off two months ago.ASUS PB258Q Black 25" 5ms WQHD Frameless HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor AH-IPS 350 cd/m2, 2560 x 1440, 100,000,000:1 Built-in Speakers One thing to keep in mind when buying a monitor, compared to a television, is the common lack of internal speakers. Most desktop users either have desk speakers or headphones, so manufacturers frequently skip the speakers to reduce the price. For the PS4, you need speakers. The monitor I got, it has internal speakers. And HDMI/VGA/Display Port/DVI connections, with cables all included.Edit:Immediately after posting this, I checked the lately email from newegg and found this wonderful looking monitor:ASUS VE278H Black 27" 2ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASVR 50000000:1 (1200:1) Built-in Speakers 27" 1080p 2ms response time, internal speakers, and discounted from $300 to $170. Only has HDMI and VGA, but for a discount of $130... that's alright.

What monitor should I get Benq xl2420z or asus vg248qe?

In experience, they're about equal, but the BenQ is ever-so-slightly better, imo, if you don't care about the price (which is probably more expensive, I'd imagine, BenQs tend to be more expensive).

But ASUS monitors really are very nice. They're tweakable, their gaming performance is absolutely superb (that 2ms response time is real...HNNNG), and I happily use a couple of (comparable ASUS models) for my main rig. They're certainly good enough not to be replaced any time soon. Few are unhappy with them, and if they are, it's because they can't figure out how to adjust the monitor settings, which are nicely laid-out and extensive. I'm pretty good at tweaking ASUS monitors, too, so you can follow that up with what settings to use for optimum quality. :P

So, the BenQ is absolutely very good. It does the job. But so does the ASUS. The biggest difference is that ASUS support is supposed to be pretty meh, likely due to the size of their company. It's not as bad as Netgear (nothing is, their support appears to be shamelessly unpleasant and designed to get you to hang up in frustration), but it's dangerously close.

Then again, I've never needed to contact ASUS support, at least not for many years, before they were a massive company.

If the prices you're finding are about the same, go with the BenQ. But I wouldn't pay more than $20 for what is only just-slightly-better. BenQ acts like they're premium, and they're not, but they still make good monitors.

Connecting my macbook to a lcd monitor?

I have the ASUS VW246H monitor and i'm trying to connect it to my Macbook OS X version 10.6.8. I bought the Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Female Adapter Cable and the HDMI cable but whenever i turn on my asus monitor it'll show the start up and then go black. The blue light on the power button stays on. If i push any other buttons nothing happens. When i unplug the hdmi a screen would show saying hdmi has no signal. Any clue whats wrong?

Also, I tried connecting it to my sony tv and it worked. Whats wrong with the monitor?

Borderlands 2 Dual Monitor Crash?

I have recently received a ATI Radeon HD 7750 graphics card by ASUS and was able to play Borderlands 2 on the highest settings just fine when connected to my one monitor (Acer AL2216W). I had a spare monitor (Acer AL2002W) that I wanted to use as a dual monitor setup. So I bought a DVI to HDMI adapter and started using it as a second monitor. I started playing Borderlands 2 using this setup (no, I am not using eyefinity) and Borderlands would start crashing when doing this. I have reinstalled the game a few times (I even went into My Games and removed everything but the save file) and I still have this problem. And yes, I have tried other full screen games like Saints Row 3 and MTG Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 and they work just fine. Can someone help me please? Thank you!
