One Middle Name Or Two

Two middle names?

Great question! I know with some families they want to do it because they want to. I have two middle names when my mother named me. For Hispanic Cultures, I believe it's a tradition that they do from what I learned in Spanish class back in High School.

Do you have more than one middle name?

Right now, I don’t have a middle name at all. “Vivian Mackenzie” is actually my full first name. I have yet to decide if I plan on adding a middle name when I go to have mine legally changed.I keep joking with my friends that I’ll make my full name “Vivian Mackenzie Hell-Bent Mandelbrot” because… come on, what a badass name, right?

One middle name or two for Myla?

If we have a girl, my husband and I have decided on the name Myla and are trying to decide on a middle name. My Mom's middle name is Anne and my husband's Mom's middle name is Josephine. Is Myla Anne Josephine too much? I like Myla Josephine, but don't like leaving my Mom's name out. I also don't really like the combined Joanne. Any suggestions?

Baby names with two middle names, baby names with first middle and last all the same letter?

Having two middle names is not weird, my sister has two, but I wouldn't go with Royal. Robert Juelz Rice sounds good though.

Is it weird for a child to have two middle names?

We're doing exactly that! :)

As per tradition on his side of the family, it's customary for the child to get their parent's first name as their middle name. I don't like the idea of having siblings sharing a middle name, plus I want to honour my other family members, but I do want to follow the tradition. So we've decided to give two middle names, one will be either my first name or my boyfriend's first name, and the second middle name will be unique to the child.

I see nothing wrong with it. I got one middle name, and my sister got two. I didn't care. My middle name caused me no problems in life. My sister had no problems with hers.

It does personally bother me when people use two middle names for their children and then don't care about how they flow with each other, and they end up sounding choppy, awkward, and potentially too long/pretentious... So I would recommend you pay attention to the flow and overall sound of the name.

However, overall, I say, if you want two middle names, go for it! It's your child, your choice, and if they don't like it, they can use just one of their middle names.

Hope this helps and good luck!

How to abbreviate TWO middle names?

I have two middle names and I'm not sure if I'm suppose to abbreviate them both or just the first.

Example:
Sarah Laura Sue Jones.

Sarah L. Jones or Sarah L.S. Jones

I am putting my name on an important document and would like it to look nice.
