Which is healthier chicken or mutton?

Chicken Protein AmountChicken pairs perfectly with any meal. Whether you enjoy diced chicken breast in your egg white omelet, a grilled chicken breast on your tossed salad at lunch or a couple roasted chicken drumsticks at dinner, you’ll get plenty of protein. Half a grilled chicken breast that weighs 3 ounces after cooking has 26.7 grams of protein. Enjoying a couple baked drumsticks -- weighing 3 ounces total -- gives you 25 grams of protein. If you prefer thigh meat you won’t get quite as much protein. A 3-ounce roasted chicken thigh only has 18.6 grams of protein.Protein in LambLamb is decadent all on its own with a heaping side of roasted veggies. You can also slice it thinly and add it to the top of a baby spinach salad, or use last night’s leftovers in a sandwich to get the protein you need. Braised lamb shoulder meat tops the list, providing between 25.8 and 30.2 grams of protein in a 3-ounce serving. If you prefer lamb loin, you’ll get 21.3 to 25.5 grams from 3 ounces, while lamb leg meat offers 21.7 to 24 grams of protein in a 3-ouce portion and the same amount of roasted lamb rib meat contains 22.2 grams of protein. How Much Protein You NeedSomewhere between 10 to 35 percent of your overall calories for the day need to come from protein, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2010 reports. Usually you’ll need the lesser amount if you’re not so active and towards the higher amount if you exercise vigorously every day. As an example, if 1,800 daily calories is normal for you, you’ll need 180 to 630 calories from protein. Just divide by 4 – the amount of calories in 1 gram of protein – to convert calories to grams. For an 1,800-calorie per day diet, this amounts to 45 to 157 grams of protein. By enjoying a succulent chunk of lamb loin or a couple chicken drumsticks, you’ll satisfy 16 to 55 percent of your protein needs.Source: Does Chicken Have More Protein Than Lamb?

Which is healthier: chicken, mutton or seafood?

They all are rich in protein and they fulfill the supply of protein in their own way .So our body needs each type.So as far as it comes to which one is healthier-I say chicken is much healthy wherein you consume boiled white meat which have high content of protein and are low on fat.I being a bit gym freak these days consumes it on a daily basis. It doesn't mean that mutton and fish are bad. No, infact fish are high in protein too and contains omega-3 fatty acid which is a lot needed by our body.Infact I was having hair loss problem these days so I started consuming flax seeds which are high in omega-3 fatty acids.Mutton on the other hand does have protein but it brings a lot of fat too with itself but is rich in iron .So point being Mutton should be consumed but maybe once in 15–30 days while fish(tuna fish being preferred the most) or chicken can be consumed on a daily basis depending on what supply of protein your body requires like my body needs it a lot more as I am gyming these days.Note- If you are looking to have high protein rich diet than you can opt for whey protein powders too as they are low on fat and have enormous amount of protein needed by our body.If you want you can connect with me as to what whey protein should be consumed or is it good or not.

How can a skinny guy gain weight and develop a fit body?

So its time to hit some heavy weight training ...At your age my weight is around 49kg and after trying hard for around a year i gained about 15kg  ..having 67kg at current ...total lean muscle ... and six abs too..So first off all you have to make strict desciplanary daily routine to enrolled with in both diet and weight training ..It should contain some heavy .. means really heavy compound exercises and lots of carb-protien diet .. you should able to consume at least 3000/3500 cal a day mostly from clean carb and protien based diet .. and you could not consume such high calories unless heavy weight training. Is eating chicken good for your health?

Chicken is one of the better meats for your protein source, which is also the most consumed protein source after red meat.Chicken up to twice or thrice a week is good for you. Chicken, along with fish and turkey, is white meat and often recommended for a healthy lifestyle. Your chicken intake in your daily meals can be in many different healthy ways such as baking or grilling chicken breast or serving it with a variety of sauces and vegetables. It is, however, important that this chicken be skinless and certainly not fried.People even eat chicken up to 5 and 6 times a week. As long as the chicken is cooked healthily and eaten in limited portions, it will not be health hazard. For a 1600 calorie meal, about 2 portions of 2 ounce chicken servings are usually served in one day. Instead of consuming chicken as protein every day, you can eat fish, beans, legumes or tofu.Eating chicken at every meal, especially processed chicken or fried chicken, defeats the purpose of having healthy meal. Often fried chicken is not only loaded with trans fats but is also fried with the skin on adding to the cholesterol and fat count of the meal. Eating too much of anything is bad and that applies to chicken as well. So, you should balance your chicken consumption along with other healthy and interesting proteins to keep your system active and healthy.

Why isn’t lamb more popular in the US?

I can think of a few big reasons. The first is that lamb is a strong flavored meat.  Americans don't generally like strong flavored meats, avoiding offal as a rule and even going so far as to do things like soaking the meat of wild game in milk so as to remove the strong taste.  Many who have had lamb just haven't developed the palate to appreciate it, or were served poorly cooked lamb in the past.  Others I know were for some reason served strong-tasting mutton and associated that flavor with lamb.  Low levels of cultural knowledge of how to cook lamb or mutton probably contributes to this.Another major reason is that lamb is much more expensive in the US relative to other meats than in other countries.  This is in part because raising sheep is associated with ranching and wool production, while most of American animal husbandry is based on large feedlots where animals are raised exclusively for slaughter.  The logistics of non-feedlot ranching operations in a huge, sparsely populated country like the US are poor in comparison.  In other words, it isn't necessarily that lamb is expensive, it's that beef, chicken and pork are very cheap.  In my experience lamb cuts are likely more than 50% more expensive than comparable cuts of beef. Regional or cultural factors likely matter a great deal.  Major immigrant groups to the US have often not come from cultures where eating lamb is common.  When they have arrived, the land or climate may not have been suitable for raising sheep.  For example, most of the American Midwest was populated in large part by German immigrants with no history of eating lamb or mutton.  In places where sheep herding did become popular in the US, it was often in constant competition with cattle for the same grazing land. Cattle were also generally more established in political terms in these places, while sheep were usually in the hands of immigrants.  The so-called sheep wars were fought between cattlemen and shepherds in the American old west over such political issues, and shepherds mostly lost.Lamb remains popular mainly in those states that produce it. Reportedly, there is a much higher availability of lamb at a competitive price in Colorado, Arizona, and in some parts of Texas.  Edit: Although apparently, maybe it's just as expensive there as in the rest of the US.

What parts of the cow are used for ground beef?

“What parts of the cow are used for ground beef?”Any and all parts of the cow an be ground, but ground beef is the cheapest beef, so if you’re trying to make money, you’d use as little as possible for grinding.I did work for a couple months, years ago, in a supermarket meat department. All the trimmings from other cuts of beef went into the ‘to grind’ pile. So those stickers that said ‘Ground Chuck’ or ‘Ground Round’ weren’t exactly accurate. The fat content labels couldn’t have been accurate either: the boss just eye balled how much fat was mixed in. I didn’t like that job and got out as soon as I could. Thanks for asking me this question, Richard Annotico.
