Painful Bump On Inner Thigh

What is this painful lump on my inner thigh?

Yeah, helen is right. It only takes some friction to cause an ingrown hair or a boil. Both can be very painful. An ingrown hair actually has to be scraped open and the hair pulled out. A boil can be treated with either an antibiotic ointment, and then a bandage over it til it breaks and drains. However, the best ever to draw out the fluid is a piece of raw bacon fat...put it over the sore with gauze pads when you go to bed, when you wake up and remove the pad the core will also come out. You may be able to do that with an ingrown hair too, it should do the same thing and the hair would be exposed so it can be easily removed.

After it heals, there are slippery powders and creams you can use on your upper thighs to reduce the friction, works great just under your arm too!

Extremely painful "zit" on inner thigh?

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

Strange, red/purple, large, PAINFUL bump on my inner thigh ?

Okay, so probably several days ago, I noticed a small red bump on my inner thigh. I thought nothing of it, that probably it was a mosquito bite or something. But after that, it started getting larger, more red, and painful.

Last night, the pain started more painful when I walked because my legs touch together. It also hurts when I stretch the skin around the bump or sit.

Today, I looked at the bump again and now it's like purple in the middle with a small white dot in the center, and the skin around the purpleness is just red. It's the size of alittle more than a quarter. And around the main bump (the purple area) is just smaller bumps. It's still painful ! D;

What is this ?? And what is the ideal way to heal the bump ? This is my FIRST time getting a bump like this on my inner thigh. I've never been sexually active, so I know it can't be an STD or anything like that.

PLeaseeee help, I need it lol.

* Also, PLEASE don't suggest a simple answer like "Go see a doctor". I would, but I'm always busy nowadays ''/

Because ofIncorrect sitting posture..

Weird lump on my inner thigh?

Okay, so I just discovered this thing today, and it's really freaking me out. I have this really big, long, hard lump thing between my legs on my inner thigh. It's hard, so I can't pop it, and when I tried to nothing happened. It's not painful, and it doesn't look discolored...albeit a little pink from where I squeezed it. It's long, around 2 inches, and sort of thick around 1 inch...I thought it was a bump at first, but then I realized it was long and hard. What the hell could it be? It's starting to freak me out...it might be two bumps of some sort interconnected, but otherwise I've got no clue what the hell this thing is. What do you think it could be? Could it be a danger to my health?

Hard, red bumps on inner thigh?

Okay so for the last couple of months I will occasionally get these small hard red lumps on my inner thigh. It is not an STD, because it is nowhere near my vagina. They can be seen when I am wearing shorts, so I am pretty positive it is not related to my genitals. Also, I'm a virgin.
Moving on (wanted to get that out of the way lol), when they first appear there are just a red mark, and when I press on them I can feel a hard little lump directly underneath. It doesn't really hurt to touch, but when I press hard there is discomfort. Then, after a few days, the lump rises to the surface. It will then be sticking out above the 'surface' (for lack of a better word) of my skin, sort of like a pimple. At this point it is tender to the touch. They do go away, but the most annoying part is that once they go away, they leave purple, bruise-like marks where they used to be, and as of yet, none of them have completely faded away.
I've researched it a little but I just don't understand what it is. I tried popping one once, which probably wasn't the smartest idea, but I wasn't able to, which makes me think that the lump I feel isn't a pocket of pus or liquid. I just have no clue what I'm dealing with! Can anybody help me?

What is MRSA?

Staphylococcus aureus is a species of bacterium commonly found on the skin and/or in the noses of healthy people. Although it is usually harmless at these sites, it may occasionally get into the body (eg through breaks in the skin such as abrasions, cuts, wounds, surgical incisions or indwelling catheters) and cause infections. These infections may be mild (eg pimples or boils) or serious (eg infection of the bloodstream, bones or joints).

MRSA stands for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, which is a type of Staphylococcus aureus that is resistant to the antibacterial activity of methicillin and other related antibiotics of the penicillin class.

The treatment of infections due to Staphylococcus aureus was revolutionised in the 1940s by the introduction of the antibiotic penicillin.

However,, most strains of Staphylococcus aureus are now resistant to penicillin. This is because Staphylococcus aureus can make a substance called ß-lactamase (pronounced beta-lactamase), that degrades penicillin, destroying its antibacterial activity
