Should I spray paint my Volvo S60 stock rims black?

You sure can! but you have to prep them before painting them, i would take them to someone that does sandblasting or soda blasting before painting. Blast, prime, sand them, then paint em' or you can just sand the crap out of em with some really aggressive sand paper or emery cloth then prime and paint them.... if the paint starts to chip, who cares, you can just paint them again. however i would still recommend having them sand or soda blasted prior to applying paint. Or you could go all out and take them to a shop and have them powder coated.... Best of luck to ya.

No, it's not ricer. But I would suggest getting them powder coated rather than painted. There are black rattle can paints that are made specifically for rims, but it is pricey. Using regular spray paint is cheap and will chip off in under 6 months. Having them powder coated can be cheaper than painting them and will last far longer. Find a shop that can media blast the old color off the rims and then take them to be powder coated. If you are going to paint them yourself, your prep work must be meticulous. Otherwise the paint will peel.
Does anybody know aboout the new law for Volvo 850 ABS and TRAC lights?
The state of NH came out with a new law this year requiring the ABS and TRAC dashboard lights to be off. I had the inspection done at an independent mechanic. The car passes inpection except for the ABS and TRAC lights. I went to Volvo and they didn't even know about the new law yet. However, they looked it up and found it in the new book. They quoted $720 for a new computer module and labor. My question is, how can I get around this? Even they said it was a silly law and that the brakes work irregardless. I wouldn't sacrifice safety, but I've been driving under this condition for years. Any ideas? Thanks.

Anthony's answer to your question is 100% incorrect. The suspension, engine and interior have no differences between the 2 models. What you do get for your $3000 is, in my opinion, well worth the 3K if you are willing to pay for it! Surround sound with 650 watts, 10 speakers and in dash cd, mp3 player Sirius Satallite radio Roof Spoiler Sport body kit - Color matched and of course the wheels This is also not to mention the extra insulation that always goes into a higher model to help quiet the ride. If you were to add up these options individually, they would come to just over $4000 so you are saving over a grand. You brought a smile on my face so early in the morning when I've just finished my prayers. A 17 years old teenager with such good thoughts and concern for the parents is a delight. I liked your cleat obsession with luxury cars. A Merc for 5.8 lacs with only 60k on its odds is a steal. None of the cars in mid luxury segment, in India, even all put together can match Mercedes. When the three pointed star arrives, all other brands vanish from the road scheme they just look like moving or stationary objects coz eyes focus only on Merc. You must make your first move of heading towards such a dignified piece of art and luxury. However, a person selling such a car with diesel engine at this price is either filthy rich or the car has had some accident which has been hidden by paint job etc and will reveal itself only to an expert. So take an opinion of a qualified and experienced person. Also be warned about the service and maintenance cost of such brands is high coz of their quality. I don't hint your parents will drive it much like a cab. Go for it if all is well! Blessed be.

I have a 2010 Toyota Prius (don’t judge me, it was passed down to me) and I love this car!
