Paycheck Statement Didn

My former employer withheld money for my taxes on my paychecks but never paid the IRS. How do I get my money back that he withheld?

This happened to me once, years before I ever started working for the IRS. If you received a W2, there's no problem. Simply file your tax return as normal and let the IRS worry about their end of it. You'll still get your refund and/or credit for the taxes paid as if your employer had actually sent them in, even if he's behind in his tax payments. If you didn't receive a W2, I hope you've saved pay check stubs where the employer indicated taxes withheld. If so, you can photocopy all of those pay checks and send them in with your return. It might take a little longer to get your refund and credit for the taxes paid, but you'll get it eventually. If you don't have any proof, your employer still has committed tax fraud. He's broken the law by not filing 941s (or other return designed to report and submit withheld taxes and the employer portion of those taxes), he's broken the law by not submitting the payments, and he's broken the law by not giving you a W2. Contact the IRS. You can start with the customer service number, but eventually, you'll probably have to talk to an individual at the IRS who specializes in tax fraud issues.

What does EXP REIMB mean? on a paycheck statement?

I would guess "Expense Reimbursement". That would usually occur if you did something (business travel, take a client to lunch) where you spent money on behalf of the company, fill out an expense report, and then they pay you back. The negative amount is odd. Worth asking your payroll or HR contact.

Does uber have online statements?

Uber does provide online statements. Whenever a person uses Uber, the app instantly starts your ride showing your travel path. Also, as soon as the trip gets over, an Uber receipt appears on your apps. You can view this by simply going to the menu and clicking > Your Trips. This shows a summary of all your previous trips, in addition you receive a mail on your registered mail id stating all the details of your trip. This mail is generally received instantly or else within twenty four hours of the completion of your ride.An online uber statement looks like this.

Can my employer check my pay stubs in ADP? Will my current employer have access to all my old employer’s pay stubs as well in ADP?

To go one step further, generally only authorized HR people can see all of your info in ADP. We use ADP where I work (ironic, since we’re a payroll company ourselves) and I can only see my employees’ hours, hourly rate, schedule, remaining vacation, sick and float time.I can’t see their marital status or number of exemptions. I also can’t see voluntary deductions (401(k), insurance, credit union, etc.) or involuntary deductions (typically garnishments). This is considered personal information that your manager and even your area executive has no need to see.We work in the same way. If you work on a Warner Bros picture and then work on a Disney film, no way can anyone at Disney find out anything about your work at Disney. Generally, in fact, we won’t share information between two projects working under the same studio. The exception to that would be that both projects are under the same production company, projects under that production company share benefits and you’re aware of that up front. For a corporate comparison, that would be like working in two departments in the same company. Your new supervisor would likely be able to see sick time, etc, that you still have after leaving your former department.

Why Does my paycheck say "Tax Blocked" and have no federal withholding?

I've recently started on with a new company, my first paycheck was only for one week, and at the top it said "Tax Blocked". They did not take any money out for Federal taxes... so I figured "okay maybe it's just the one week paycheck." But now I've received my 2 week paycheck and I have the same issue. full 90 Hour paycheck, Tax Blocked, No Federal withholding. Is this normal? or should I be concerned?

I missed a punch at Target. Do they hold my paycheck and put it on the next one?

I looked at my pay statement and realized they have me down for 49 hours on my paycheck, rather than 57.5 hours like it should be. Then I realized it was due to me failing to punch in one day, but I did do my full shift.

I fixed my punch today. Will it simply go onto my next paycheck? It didn't go on the one it was supposed to go on, so I take it they were holding it until I fixed the punch?

Why are there no federal income taxes withheld on my paycheck?

This sort of rang some alarm bells. You don’t say how much you are being paid, so one can’t conclude whether or not you should have had federal taxes withheld. The amount of taxes withheld depends upon a couple of things. At bare minimum, you should have social security ( 6.2%) and medicare (1.45%) withheld. If those amounts are not withheld, then your employer may be treating you as an independent contractor, which is most probably wrong. ( employers sometimes do this so they can save employment taxes, workers comp, and unemployment taxes. It’s illegal and improper, but you see it ever so often)If you ask your employer why there is no social security and medicare tax (often called FICA) withheld, they may give you a wide variety of answers. AS I mentioned, most of this is a con job so they can save taxes. You should get a form SS-8 (at IRS.gov) and fill it in to see whether you really are an independent contractor or not. Google “independent contractor vs employee” for some useful reading on the topic.Let’s assume the FICA is withheld, but no income taxes. The amount withheld depends upon how much you make, and how you filled in your W-4 form. So, if you were paid $10 an hour, and you filled in your W-4 claiming married with 14 exemptions, likely there would be no income tax withheld. (Hint: the higher the exemptions, the lower the withholding…) You should always claim only what you are entitled to. If single with no dependents, claim Single 1. If married and your spouse is working too, claim married, either 1 or zero. Claiming the right number of exemptions is tricky given so many different situations, and is beyond the scope of this answer. If you don’t remember what you did on your W-4, ask to see it. They have to show you. Also, look on your paycheck stub. If you didn’t receive one, your employer is violating the law: you are entitled to a paycheck stub showing how they calculated the gross wages earned to the net on the paycheck. You should study these and keep them, and reconcile them to your W-2 at the end of the year. I say this because unscrupulous employers have been known to fudge the numbers to get them a bigger expense deduction at your expense!

What time does ADP direct deposit pay checks? How soon after is the money available?

Your company will have their payrolls processed by ADP, ADP in turn will pass the payment to the Banks or CU prior to DUE DATE due date is the day your company has chosen to pay you , usually Thursdays or Fridays. Once the bank or CU have the funds they will post it to your accounts. Most banks it is at the end of night processing and the funds should be available morning of due date. If your paydate is a monday the banks would pre-post your depost friday night as their banking systems run Monday night to Friday Night and have no choice but to provided funds early. Credit unions will post the deposit on the due date as their banking systems run 7/24 and have no need to pre-post.

Which sentence is grammatically correct, the customer has not paid, or the customer did not pay?

Let me tell you a standard secretarial practice taught to us in the 1970s (per Pitman’s Institute) regarding non-payment.It isn’t a matter of grammatical correctness — both your versions (has not vs. did not) are equally correct. But the two will lead to different interpretations with some significant consequences.“The customer has not paid.”This conveys the tone and perception that the bill merely remains unpaid by the customer. It usually doesn’t carry any connotation of the below.“The customer did not pay.”The ‘did not’ in this context to most native English-speaking ears carry the implication that the customer had refused to pay in some way. The word ‘did’ here makes the customer the direct action-maker of not paying up.By contrast, using ‘has’ carries the implication that the payment itself simply has not been done yet. So the focus then is centred on the payment (‘paid’) rather than the customer. And that is why trained secretaries will use constructions such as “the invoice has not been paid [yet]” or “the invoice is awaiting payment by the customer” rather than “the customer did not pay his invoice” or “we are waiting for the customer’s payment.”So the recommendation is “the customer has not paid [yet].”
