People Say President Obama Is Aloof And Detached Now How Much More Aloof And Detached Will He

Now that Obama is President-Elect, do we still need Affirmative Action?

yes obama is president. but there still is a lot of racism left.

affirmative action isn't necessary in my opinion.

But there should be preventative programs in place to stop all types of racism. For example,

What happens when a Korean owned business refuses employment to Latinos.

or if a Black owned business refuses work to Middle Easterners.

Or a Cuban owned business that refuses employment to White people.

Or a Church owned business that refuses work to Gays and Lesbians

Racism and Discrimination is no longer a Black and White issue but its EVERONES issue in these days.

Because American is a huge melting pot, different people of racial groups hate people of other racial groups.

And i've noticed that a lot of minorities dislike other minorities and think they aren't racist because they arent white.

We need to find a way to eliminate all forms of racism in america, and affirmitive action just isn't affective in todays society.

And it is an example of reverse-discrimination.

A new more affective plan should be created to protect and promote the well being of every person, of every culture and race all over america.

Is President Obama just hype?

Uh, actually, this site is heavily biased conservative site that often has explicit racists on it. So, I would go somewhere else. I read raw story a lot. IF you view Fox News, you should go to Media Matters to get the other side. Study economics in high school, that will help a lot. Polifact and factcheck are great sites. Try to get a balance of news sources.

In my opinion, Obama is the closest to sharing my values than nearly any other president since Kennedy. But that is not saying a lot. However, he has been unable to do much because of a coalition of Republicans and a few Dems hold things up and make him compromise. In that sense, he is a fairly ineffective president. His stand on Afghanistan I find the most troubling. I would tend to think, however, that Bin Laden would never have attacked us if didn't build up Islamic extremists in Afghanistan in the first place. You can thank Bush Sr. and perhaps Reagan for that. Ir was like kicking a rapid dog.

Who would win if Herman Cain and Obama ran for president against each other?

"surely another black candidate will split the inner city vote between the two parties, this should remove one of the major reasons why Obama won last year. "

You're ignoring the fact that African American voters have consistently voted for the Democrat candidate by a wide margin for several decades now.

Just throwing a black republican at the inner city isn't going to make them change their mind about the GOP's platform over-night.

Hell, the fact that you think it will suggests to me that you do indeed have some pretty racist opinions about Inner City African Americans.

Your party has to stop reverting to that failed logic every time race comes up or you're never going to get anywhere.

On that note, to answer the question at hand: Obama by a land-slide

HiYou could check out this location, it's not easy to contact an ex-president.https://www.obamalibrary.gov/abo...I’d try the offices of Michelle and Barack Obama. My wife was a teacher for 47 years and Jerry and Betty Ford were her aunt and uncle.A few years before Jerry died, the school that my wife taught at asked her if she could get a recorded commencement speech done by Gerald Ford for the kids graduating from elementary school. She talked to Betty (her father's sister) and asked if she thought Jerry would do it.A few weeks later their secretary called us to tell us that we could pick the recording up at the Gerald R Ford Museum in Grand Rapids. We live in the country outside of Grand Rapids. We went and picked up the recording and Jerry had written a really great speech about how important education was and how it would affect their lives, and wish them all well in the future. Now every year at the graduation ceremony they hang up a large picture of Gerald Ford and play the recording, it's an annual ritual.I had very little contact with Gerald Ford, but I met Betty a number of times when she was in the Grand Rapids area and I sometimes talked to Betty when she would call and my wife wasn't home.We both like dogs a lot, and would swap dog stories. They were both great people and for Jerry to do this when he was around 90 years old was really a nice thing for him to do for the kids.

I don't think so.If speaking about how one believes we can improve as a nation is subversive, then most of us are subversive, especially the politicians. Indeed, people who refuse to discuss how we can do much more harm.As for the various things mentioned in the details-Not saying radical Islam- His rationale behind this appears to be to not give the legitimacy of representing Islam to terrorists, given the millions of Muslims that do not stand for this behavior. Here's an article where he explains it.Unconditional support for BLM- I disagree with this being subversive or true. There is a portion of loud and foolish members, but those aren't the ones he supports. And if the idea that black people should be treated well is subversive, then sign me up. The unconditional part also seems untrue, as I don't believe he ever has done this.Blaming America for all the world’s problems- I would be shocked if he had ever done this. All the world’s problems is a bit much- did we genetically engineer the giant pit in the middle of the avocado? I'm being a bit facetious, but this would have gone over remarkably poorly and I think his opponents would have seized on it.Finally, I believe he's always tried to do what's best for the country, even if he was wrong some or even most of the time. I think he did alright. But that's just what I think.

I've heard he goes, but if so, it would be kept very low key. Current and former presidents are extremely disruptive and churchgoers would not be too thrilled about the circus. In Obama's case specifically, you can google and see why he might not. When he goes, the pastor and congregation are targets of some really nasty criticism and the pastor himself tends to go under a microscope and get his past combed through for any tiny bit of dirt. When Obama doesnt attend or doesn't attend one place regularly, the criticism is just directed at him.
