Permanently deleted contacts still show up in search window when you type a part of the email or name?
Hi Nancy P, Autocomplete suggests email addresses as you type, based on contacts from your address book and contacts that you have sent messages to in the past. Suggestions are sorted in order or relevance, rather than in alphabetical order. While you can't turn off the Autocomplete feature, you can stop a contact's email address from appearing in it. To delete a contact from the Autocomplete suggestions: 1. When an unwanted contact appears as a suggestion, hover over it in the suggestions list. 2. Select the "X" to the right of the name. 3. A pop-up appears asking if you are sure you want to delete the email address. Select Delete. The contact's email address no longer appears as a suggestion in the Autocomplete list. Note: If the email address you are deleting is also in your Yahoo! Contacts, removing it from Autocomplete automatically removes the address from your Yahoo! Contacts. I tried what you said...went to my deleted contacts folder and there are no names/contacts listed there to permanently delete. Are there other suggestions for getting rid of the email addresses that pop up every time I want to send an email? Every time I try to send an email to my boyfriend, it pops up an email address that I have already deleted since it was a former place of employment. And I have to physically type in his personal email address every time, even though it's in my contacts list. I am also frustrated with email addresses showing up in the drop down for people I haven't added to my contacts list and I can't find the email addresses I need. I use Yahoo for my home based business email account and really need the clutter of unwanted email addy's to be gone. IDK what to do. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
