Photography Degree At Edinburgh Uni

Colleges that offer courses on parapsychology???

Franklin Pierce University (US) offers a minor in parapsychology.
Several other US universities offer it as a special topic course from time to time.
The following universities offer either degrees or classes in parapsychology:

Lund University (Sweden)
Utrecht (Netherlands)
University of Adelaide (Australia)
University of North Hampton (England)
Liverpool Hope Univerisity (England)
University of Hertfordshire (England)
University of Edinburgh (UK - Scotland) some online soon

Edit: below are the faculty pages for the two parapsychologist at the University of Adelaide. As that parapsychology is often taught under other names like anomalous psychology or in advanced classes like master or doctoral level experimental psychology if you are interested in pursuing this interest through the University of Adelaide I would suggest you e-mail them directly and ask them about courses.
Please note that several philosophy classes are not available in 2008 and it is normal for universities to not offer any particular course in certain semesters or certain numbered years. In other words for a course to be offered only in the fall of odd number years is a standard practice.

What is the reputation of the University of Edinburgh, in particular the School of Informatics?

It is difficult not to give a biased answer to this questions, so I will simply highlight some useful indicators. Edinburgh sits at #17 in the QS University Rankings. The results of the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) have confirmed the position of Edinburgh's School of Informatics as the largest and best (by volume) Informatics research centre in the UK (explore the third graph on REF 2014 results and select 'Computer Science and Informatics' from the drop down menu).

Why is the 'u' in the logo of the University of Edinburgh not capital?

It’s capital, it’s just very similar to a lowercase u. This particular font, with its exaggerated serifs on the U and T, and exaggerated descender on the lowercase f, is used to remind you that this is a very old university (founded 1582).The University uses a modernised font designed to evoke a mid 16th century style, as you might see in a font like Operina Romano:The capital U with the vertical sidebar and serif is also a Renaissance look, as in this fancier font:

What are the best things for University of Wolverhampton students to do on weekends?

It’s been a long time (20 years exactly) since I was a student at the University of Wolverhampton, but what we’d do would depend on what Campus we lived on - as when I was there Wolves had 6 campuses - 3 in Wolverhampton (North, South, and Compron Park), Telford, Dudley and Walsall. The nightlife in Wolverhampton was more varied in scope than Walsall (which at my time only had one decent nightclub, but many bars and wine bars, which tbh I favoured anyhow), but the good thing about the area was that within 13–20 miles of any of the Campuses were stuff we could do. There was a 10-screen UCI cinema in Dudley, a 13-screen Showcase outside Walsall, and another big one in Telford (can’t remember the size). If you’re a football fan, Wolverhampton has the Molineux Stadium. Birmingham is only about a 20 minute bus/taxi ride away, which obviously has vastly better night life and entertainment than Wolverhampton, Telford, Dudley or Walsall if you like theatre, nightclubs, concerts, etc… You will likely find that unless things have changed, the students union or student groups organise regular trips to concerts and nighclubs. The student’s union also has a bar on every campus - and at the time I was there Wolves boasted it had the 2nd-biggest student union pub in the UK.In short, there’s plenty to do if you’re in one of the bigger city campuses; or if you have a car or West Midlands bus pass so you can move around a bit.

Where is the best University to study Architecture or Interior design?

Oxford Brookes, or Edinburgh (Interior Architecture course)

You should get hold of the prospectus for the course though - they often vary in technical/arts bias and some have options which may appeal to you (easiest way is to look at their websites). Some will expect you to do CAD - others don't (you ar more employable if you have AutoCad btw) - Also pick a city or location which will enhance the experience. Check the qualifications for entry some may insist on mathematics and English, for example.

You should go and visit to see if you like your preferred choice - talk to students who are doing the course. Reputations tend to lag behind the reality - often the best people who teach on these courses move about a bit so you need to get an up to date recommendation.

What are the best student organizations or clubs to join at University of Edinburgh? Why should students join them?

Going back some years (I graduated in 1987) - the best club to belong to was the Sub Aqua Club. They had fantastic kit. We had boats, lock-ups, air compressors everything. Students coming from other universities couldn’t believe the amount of equipment available in the club. The club was also extremely well run by a group of Postgraduates and we always did our drinking after training in the Postgraduate union. All of the above will need to be cross-checked with current members.Other clubs which had a good and popular following include of course the Mountaineering Club - which takes you on great trips around the Scottish mountains in all weathers. In the eighties there was one trip per year south of the border to the Lake District - but this was generally frowned upon.A friend of mine was a great advocate of the Home Brew Society. I enjoyed a few sessions with the Fencing Society but it was a bit over subscribed. Of course if you ever wanted to fly fighter jets then you should join the RAF club.My top advice would be to throw yourself into more things than you can possibly do initially and then whittle it down after a few visits to each. The key thing at the end of the day is - Who else is in the club?Best of luck. Phil. MA Jt Hons Philosophy & Politics (plus Sub Aqua, Mountaineering and The Potterrow!)
