Physiotherapist Or Anyone Whos

Physiotherapist or a teacher?

I am having a little bit of a dilemma at the moment! I am applying to universities, and up until now, I was sure that physiotherapy was the career for me. However, yesterday, I kind of thought about being a primary school teacher, and liked the idea :D. I like the holidays, but I am aware that teachers are required to do work outside of school (unpaid overtime), and it isn't a great paying job. I am stuck on which career path to take. Could anyone with experience in either or both help me please? Thanks

Has anyone heard of Physio The Rapist ?

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been to a physiotherapist who wondered whether I had scarrierma - to do with raynauds - what is this?

Maybe you mean scleroderma. It is a disease where the skin becomes thick and tight, and it can involve other organs as well. Most people with scleroderma have Raynaud's phenomenon, although there are many other causes for Raynaud's. Raynaud's is where the fingers and toes turn different colors when exposed to cold. See the sources for more detailed information about both of these. Of course, your doctor would be in a much better position to know whether you have either of these problems. If you think that scleroderma is even a possibility, it is worth asking your doctor about. That way, if you do have it, you can get proper monitoring and treatment. Good luck, and I hope all goes well.

If I want to be a physiotherapist when I grow up, what should I major in when I go to university?

In order to practice as a physiotherapist, you must complete an accredited university program in physiotherapy, and then meet licensing requirements in your province.

Currently, the basic requirement to work as a physiotherapist is a bachelor’s degree. These programs take 3 to 4 years to complete. However, starting in 2010, universities in Canada will no longer offer bachelor’s degrees in physiotherapy. Anyone who wants to be a physiotherapist will have to complete a master’s degree. Many universities have already started to phase out bachelor’s degrees in physiotherapy.

To get into a master’s degree program, you first need to complete a 4-year bachelor’s degree, including specific courses in areas such as human physiology, psychology, and statistics. It’s a good idea to contact the physiotherapy school you are interested in to see what degrees they offer and what their admission requirements are. Master’s degree programs take 2 to 3 years to complete.

Once you have completed a physiotherapy program, you will need to be licensed or registered with the regulatory board in your province. This usually involves passing an exam.

Can anyone give me info on becoming a dance physiotherapist?

You need to go for dance Kinesology and physical therapy for collage. However, once you have done that, I will give you a link to the best program to get certification for dance rehabilitation. There is no one who is a better dance P.T. or is held in higher esteem than Marika Molnar of Westside Dance Physical Therapy. She is sort of the "Rock Star" of Dance P.T. Marika is the pretty much the gold standard for Dance P.T. in the world. WSDPT is located in NYC right near Lincoln Center. They take care of all the major ballet and contemporary dance companies there. Often Marika is flown all over the world to assist a dancer with a problem no one else can handle. Dance P.T.s can make really good money based on their abilities and reputations. I recommend you contact them as to where to get the best early training for college as they might know best where to steer you. Then look to study with them after that if you can.
