Should I go to the Emergency room for Hard ball above hernia surgery scar with shooting pains when I walk?
I had surgery in 04' with a bard kugel mesh patch. Some of the patches were recalled for the memory ring coming lose and getting wrapped up around insides, but not the small oval which is the one I have in me. I have been having pains if i wear tight jeans around my waist in the area where the hard ball is, and its tender..sore. The cramping gets worse when I mess with it or feel around it. My insurance co-pay is 150 and I cant afford to pay that right now. All i need is a reverse Ct scan, but after reading everything on here is making me nervous enough to want to do something sooner than seeing a doctor making appointment..etc. Can the emergency room bill me later or just not concider me an emergency and make me sit there to just be sent home?

I had this friend, she always cuts her nails really short. She was peeling an orange once, and she ended up getting a whole chunk of the peel underneath her fingernail on her index finger, too deep to get it out herself. She ended up going to the emergency room. True story. Haven't peeled an orange since. Hope that answers your question.

I did yesterday. I was at a casino with my Mom and we were standing in a line. I told her I felt like I was going to pass out and I put my head on her shoulder. She thought I was kidding, but about 10 seconds later my arm started shaking and she put her arm under mine and that was it. My body went limp and she could not hold me up, she helped me to the floor and my legs were completely bent under me. People thought I broke both of my legs. I was unconscious on the floor with my eyes open for about 3 minutes. Then apparently I "popped" up off the floor shocking everyone because they could not believe I got off the floor from the position I was in. (Later I joked and thanked Pilate's for my flexibility.) I was still not with it, but I wandered "like a drunk person" onto the shuttle bus. All I remember was getting on the bus and wondering why people were asking me if I was ok. Then right after that I started to sweat and the bus driver put the air conditioning on for me. But I was not sweating before this all happened. I was just standing there feeling fine and it happened in seconds! I have no idea what caused this to happen! Has anything like this ever happened to you? Did you find out what caused it?
