(What causes people to think it will one day end? The Bible mentions the end of the "heavens & earth" which was covenantal, not cosmic. It referred to the end of the Old Covenant age in 70CE.)

Do you think the world will end in our lifetime?
Our lovely planet has been orbiting the Sun for 4.5 billion years. It took most of a billion years before life formed. It took nearly a billion years more before multicellular life arrived. Mammals only arrived 225 million years ago. Humans? We haven't been here but a few hundred thousand years.And Kevin Flint? Well, he's a nifty guy and all, but he's only been on this Earth for a handful of years. Out of those billions of years, but a moment.It would be the height of hubris to think the Earth had been spinning around all those billions of years just waiting for me to arrive. And then, satisfied with my magnificent arrival, announces last call, and closes the bar. Honestly, for someone to even vaguely think something like that of their planet, universe, god, or whatever? They are suffering from some next level egocentrism.

Like somehow the world is going to end and for everyone to survive you would have to give your life. So would you give your life to save the human race? For me, yea. I mean if the world was going to end and I'm gonna die anyway, might as well die a hero :P

If the people are waiting for the world to end according to scriptures, they are too late. The world ended in 1844. Actual this refers to a cycle in the history of mankind. From the time of Adam to the time of Muhammad we were in a prophetic cycle. During the time of 1844 there was a great expectation of the coming of the Promise One and this has occurred with the coming of the Bab (The Gate) who prepared the way for coming of Baha’u’llah (The Glory of God) as promised in the Holy Texts. We have entered in the cycle of fulfilment of these prophecies.
