Property Owner Lied And Didn

Laws against lying when selling a used car from an owner?

So my husband and I just bought a used 2002 ford escape from an owner and after buying the car and signing the paperwork on the way home the car would not even go up hills at all. So we called the guy and said he sold us a car that didn't work when he told us that everything was all good on it and it was a really nice car. I did sign the sold "as is" but he lied to us about not knowing anything about the car doing that. We took it in the shop and found out that the catalytic coverters were clogged and for sure 2 need to be replaced, but we wont know about the 3rd one until those two are replaced. He did give us some money back for the car being messed up, but I don't even want the car anymore after all the crap he has put us through. Also we just found out today that there is a different motor in the car that is for a ford escape but not the same year, so he lied to us about those two things! I wanna know if there is any law for lying to someone like that and selling them the car in good condition when it really wasn't. He has all of our loan money which was our first loan ever. I am so mad at this guy because first he said to take the car back to him and he would give all our money back and then he decided to only give back enough for the repairs of a blown transmission since that was what we thought in the first place. Also I really do think he knew about it beacause when we called him he told us to just let the car "cool down" which means he knows what to do! Anyways I am sooooo mad at this guy and I knew we should have taken it to the shop in the first place but I just don't understand that people can be so cold hearted and screw people over like this. does anyone know if there is anything we can do about all of this? I did find a UDAP Law that is unfair and deceptive acts and practices and sometimes can be against an "as is" sale. does this count with an owner sale?

Rock of Love's Ambre says she didn't lie?

The TRUTH...From Ambre Lake
Ok I never write blogs because I like for you guys to enjoy the show and believe in the experience. However, I need to set the record straight because all of you know that I’m an HONEST, down-to-earth person. So, when I’m portrayed as a liar I just can’t let people believe that. I never lied to Bret about my age. If you look at the playback with our date with Sateesh, you will see that I never tell Bret my age. My voice is dubbed over. If I HAD ever discussed my age with Bret, I assure you there would have been footage of me actually TELLING him my age. So, there you have it. I was portrayed as a liar when I never was….I was always truthful with Bret and I will always be true to myself. That is why I felt very strongly about disclosing this information. Feel free to rewatch the footage and you will see what I’m talking about.
Also, listen, I am an actress/tv host and I signed up for this.

Bought used car, owner lied about problems and wont return money. HELP!!!!?

I purchased a 1993 Toyota Camry from a private seller on craigslist. It was advertised at $2000 with 131,000 miles. I negotiated to $1750 and test drove the car and it was fine. The owner gave me a story of why she sold it, and said she had a number of repairs done. I paid cash and she handed me a title that did not have her name but the previous owner, and it listed a sale of $500 and 231,000 miles on the title. I asked her and she said she made a mistake with the milage on the title and that i should change it with a pen. The odometer was also broken but i found this out after i drove the car home. I drove the car home and immideatly had problems so i took it to a shop and they said the oil and the fuel were leaking and that was a very dangerous situation driving like that. I called back to get my money back from the owner but she refused to talk so her "husband/bofriend" did the talking and said he would take it to toyota because he knows someone there who can fix it cheap. I think they are lying about everything and dont trust their word but i left it with them to fix. I went today to register the car and the dmv told me it was last registered with 209,000 miles in 2009. I told them that and they had no idea because they just bought the car a month ago. I went today to get the car after it was repaired, the husband then tells me he works for toyota and did some repairs at the shop but his boss told him to get the car out of the shop becuase no tag, so he brought it home to fix the rear seal on the tranny, i believe thats what he said. We went today and drove it and it still was no good, he said he would have it by tomarrow. I told him to just take the car back and give me my money and he said i can just fix it, the wife who actually sold it to me refused to talk at all. She pulled up to the house yelling and angry asking why i was still here and went into the house. She refused to come sign a bill of sale when i asked for it today becuase i forgot on purchase day, and she wouldnt. Husband decided to write it up and i told him i need her signature but she wouldnt. So he signed it. The pretty much screwed me by lying about problems and milage clearly by telling me the spedometer milage was correct when it was not. Is there anything leagally i can do to get my money as well as seeing to it that no one else has to go through what i have been going through? Please advice!!

Will there be an Elfen Lied season 2?

I finished the anime and it was kind of weird how they left it off. (1) Kohta and Lucy kiss (2) Lucy gets shot at and her other horn falls off (3) Every body starts eating and dog starts barking (4) Kohta walks towards front entrance(5) Kohta sees a shadow at the door (6) Grandfather Clock chimes. See what I mean, weird ending. I just wanted to see if anybody could give me some info on when and if Elfen Lied season 2 will come out. I really need this info guys and girls. Oh, and if it does come out i'll send everybody who answered and left their e-mail a big thanks. But there are a lot of people asking this question, and Japanese people like that non action packed crap like To Love Ru or Claanad so I'm not sure. But give me everything you have on this question.

What is the time limit for legal action against a seller who lied about the condition of property on deed?

It depends on your State's statute of limitations. Our local purchase agreements (contracts) actually include a clause requiring any lawsuit arising from the transaction to be filed within six months of the closing date. Whether the courts will uphold this, rather than be bound by the State statute has, to my knowledge, yet to be tested though. The seller, however, despite the numerous opportunities he may have to lie about the property's condition, cannot lie on the deed. The deed is - specifically - the transfer document, conveying title to the buyer. It contains a legal description of the property but makes no reference to condition. It is the Seller Disclosure form, upon which the seller records the condition of the property. This form should b e filled out "to the seller's best knowledge," which means there can be condition issues of which seller's had no knowledge and which are therefore not actionable - knob and tube wiring, for example, or galvanized or lead piping, even the existence of lead paint or asbestos, or the presence of buried oil storage tanks once used to house fuel for the furnace. These things are all "latent" defects, meaning they are not immediately visible, and they may very well predate the seller's ownership of the property. They may have been hiding within the walls for decades, escaping even a licensed building inspector's detection. Unfortunately, when you buy a house with condition issues like this, you usually have very little recourse.

Can a person be considered a trespasser if they are invited into a house by someone who lives there, but is not the homeowner?

State laws differ on such questions. Usually the deciding factor comes down to what the boy believed to be true; if the believed he had legitimate consent to enter the home, he is legally assumed to have legitimate consent. As such, criminal charges will probably not be brought against him.Similarly, if a home is shared by two residents and and one gives consent to a search while the other expressly denies consent, have the police met the legal standard necessary to search the premises? Or do they need a search warrant to override the denied consent? Some states allow it, other states reject it. The question of which approach is preferable is an interesting question. However, in the example given the more obvious crime is the reckless endangerment of the boy by the girl. By giving her father faulty information that motivated his act of violence against the boy, she could be said to be criminally responsible for the violence against him. I think her risk of criminal charges is the greatest of the three.

Did Trump lie about having an MBA from Wharton?

It's a good thing these days that Drumpf's lies are so transparent that it takes less than 30 seconds to debunk them, even while he's spewing new ones. So much more is immediately available than this focused sample:Donald Trump's myths about himself"Trump did graduate from the Wharton School of business at the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League college. But Trump did not get an MBA from Wharton; he has a much less prestigious undergraduate degree. He was a transfer student who arrived at Wharton after two years at Fordham University, which U.S. News & World Report currently ranks 66th among national universities.Gwenda Blair, in her 2001 book “The Trumps,” said that Trump’s grades at Fordham were just “respectable” and that he got into Wharton mainly because he had an interview with an admissions officer who had been a high school classmate of his older brother. And Wharton’s admissions team surely knew that Trump was from one of New York’s wealthiest families. For years, numerous media reports said Trump graduated first in his class from Wharton, but that’s wrong. The 1968 commencement program does not list him as graduating with any sort of honors. In fact, The Boston Globe reported that he barely made an impression at all: “His former classmates said he seemed a student who spoke up a lot but rarely shined in class, who barely participated in campus activities, shunned fraternity parties.”See also:Was Trump really a top student at Wharton? We are taught to embrace humility and diversity. We can understand why, in seeking America’s highest office, you have used your degree from Wharton to promote and lend legitimacy to your candidacy. As a candidate for President, and now as the presumptive GOP nominee, you have been afforded a transformative opportunity to be a leader on national and international stages and to make the Wharton community even prouder of our school and values. However, we have been deeply disappointed in your candidacy."
