What is the definition of Director, Associate Director, Assistant Director in higher education?

it depends on the office that you work in, but typically it is a chain of command. for example - in a residence life office the assistant director may be responsible for supervising hall directors, selecting RAs, etc. Assistant Directors may report to an Associate Director or a Director depending on the size of the institution. An Associate Director would report to a Director and is usually responsible for a content area - operations, training and selection, leadership development, etc. The Director is responsible for the whole department (overall) - including budget and supervision of Associate or Assistant Directors.

It depends on the institution- everywhere I have worked it is slightly different. There may be a Dean that oversees an office and no Director. It depends on the size of the institution and the philosophy/mission/type of office.

The DCP (Ceremonial)’s main function is handling visits. Earlier, the Protocol Division used to have only one DCP (Ceremonials). Now, there are two. Yes, go ahead and quit! I recently quit my job at mcdonalds. I didn't like the mcdonalds I was at before I transfered to a new mcdonalds location and I sure as hell didn't like the mcdonalds I was transfered too. I didn't like the managers or co workers at eaither mcdonalds they were rude they had smart *** mouths and I got sick of them walking all over me. I had to cop an attitude with certain managers. I am a young adult and I know I can get a better job than mcdonalds. And now I DO have a better job and I am happy. I don't regret not leaving a two weeks notice at mcdonalds. For crying out loud, ITS JUST MCDONALDS. I don't even know why I decided to go back working there after the dumb retard managers fired me from the mcdonalds I worked at last year. Fired me for no reason. I did what I was suppose to do. I went to work on time, never did anything to nobody, and he had the nerve to fire me because he didn't like the way I looked? thats some bullshit. Thats why hes 30 years old working at mcdonalds. He has no life and hes stupid and hes old as hell. He can't even go out and make some real money! I'm younger than him and I am doing better than he is. I'm 20. I got 2 trades, Abetter job, etc. I'm doing great. Mcdonalds is a job for Teenagers. Not young adults like me and older adults. Anybody could flip burgers. But who would want to work at mcdonalds? you get abused by customers and managers and I have no time for that. Now when I go back to mcdonalds I can tell those dumb low uneducated managers that I have a better fun job and if my order is not right and The employee gives me attitude, I can complain to them. I feel better to know that Now I'm a paying customer! **** mcdonalds. **** the managers that work there, all they do is yell at you. They;re selfish and disrespectful. For the managers who work at mcdonalds, GET A LIFE! AND GROW UP!
