Psychology Mind Problem

Wat is the psychology behind the emo state of mind?

as you can see above me predjudice is a big thing, and 'emo's' deal with it every day because people do not understand, nor will they ever unless they have endured what others have.

people need to take a walk in others shoes.

what is an emo:

these people have emotional issues with family and friends.
some are depressed. some are faking it--these are what we call posers.
they suffer from clinical depression or major depression. and most contemplate suicide.
this is a serious problem and should not be made fun of as most @ssholes do.

depression is one of the leading causes of death in america.
some people have gone through difficulties in life and kept their feelings bottled in and didnt talk about what happened. this is one cause to the major depression. these people have been raped, or been abused whether physically verbally or mentally. some people have had all four unfortunately.

and the way they dress goes along with how they think. the ones who are depressed think about death 24/7, want to die, or feel like it would be better if they were never born.
they feel like they can never get help because no one will listen. the color red and black is considered the colors of angry and sadness or evil, if you ever look in a dictionary.
this goes along well with what they feel, and have gone through. growing up in america children learn the meanings of colors in english/language arts class. therefore they are expressing themselves. but no one really understands the psychology behind it.

I know what it is like. i have major depression and have suffered from it all of my life. i thankfully have had help for 2 years now. but my depression is still here. i am considered a hard case to work with because i have so many problems, finding a antidepressant to work with me is difficult. if you do ask any questions to mei do not want your sympathy, only because other people need it. im getting better others aren't.
and yes i did dress in all black every day in my ninth grade year, i was one of them. i am not anymore. i am now in eleventh grade.

btw not all 'emos' hurt themselves

Why are smart people’s mind more prone to psychological problems like OCD, schizophrenia, anxiety issues, bipolar disorder, etc?

The mind is a receiver of information, which is then sorted, associated, analyzed, and put to use. Intelligent people have more powerful receivers. They pick up more information than average. That doesn't necessarily mean that the sorting, association, analysis, and action selection capabilities are any better than average. These “modules” are all learned, and learning from similar sources means that these functions end up very much the same: average. When you have a high influx of information coming into a system with average processing capability, the system breaks down. It's similar to the way sewers overflow when there is a torrential downpour. There is too much input for the system to handle, yielding undesirable effects.Medication circumvents a crisis by slowing down the input. It is a short-term solution to a long-standing problem. The longer-term solution is to learn new methods for sorting, associating, analyzing, and selecting actions. This is a long, painful process that therapy attempts to address, by helping you understand the learning that created these methods in the first place. It's an in-crisis engineering tutorial, that only succeeds at patching the problem, rather than fixing it.A real solution is tearing the system down and rebuilding it to match the input capacity. This is a vast engineering project which requires shutting down large, essential parts of the system while it is being rebuilt.OCD, schizophrenia, anxiety, bipolar are indications that the input exceeds the system's capacity, and the underlying processing capability needs to be reconstructed. The reconstruction process appears to be more difficult than simply allowing the problem to flare up once in a while.Intelligent people develop these coping mechanisms to manage the excessive input they receive using the system they already have in place.

Psychology Questions?

I have read all of your answers. For 5, the answer is d. 6 is a. 7 is a.
Rest are correct.

Why do so many people suffer psychological problems?

The number of people affected with various psychological issues is increasing since we do not have enough knowledge to deal with such problems. Education related to psyche has not been imparted to those who need it. In young age one should be aware of the nature of mind and how to protect it if they come across any problem related to mind.Through physics, chemistry, maths and computer science one cannot lead a life. It is our great educational system that fixes certain subjects to be taught in schools as well as in colleges.Young minds should receive some basic education in psychology.Every one should know the anatomy of human mind which includes the functioning of human brain that concentrates more on emotions and feelings.Unless people know the implications that involve in human mind they will Continue to remain in ignorance.Thank youJoseph Antony

Psychology: Do I have a psychological issue If my mind tricks me in to forgetting bad incidents?

Not necessarily, although the actual existence (first posited by Freud) of Repressed memory is somewhat controversial, as there have, in the past, been false "recalled" memories of abuse by children which never occurred, and led to the imprisonment of care providers.  The notion has been revived viz. Posttraumatic stress disorder.  Either way, personally, I would seek out counseling, just to reclaim a normal, fully functioning life.

Why do people face psychological problems in the USA compared to India?

Psychology is something related to mind. USA is the sole Super Power of the world and they have attained this due to their Economy which is about US$18Trillion with about 400 million population and Indian economy is about US$2 Trillion with about 1250 Million Population. This huge economy has to sustain by relentless working of people which will obviously lead to huge intellectual usage which means mind is fully occupied. Unless this mind is balanced with some rest to it mind also gets into chaotic situation which means a psychological problem.Coming to India, Indians by and large have been spiritual people. Hindus keep participating in bhajans, puja, Havans, Temple visits, fasting on one of the days, every day in ones own way some kind of spiritual activity keeps mind alive and agile. Muslims offer prayers on Fridays and this way the entire population is into some spiritual activity or other in ones own way. Some astrologer gives some value based suggestion to tide over problems, by and large people blindly believe and keep out some spiritual activity like taking rounds in a particular temple to get peace from Shani Dev, like that. This spiritual thinking has saved Indians from psychological disorders. The more people tend to be rationalistic and agnostic the more would be psychological problems. The mind will always be in continuous mode of money making exercise without there being any rest to it. Pressure builds up to get into tension leading to psychological problem.
