Public Can Still View My Timeline On Facebook

How can I make my Facebook Timeline visible to the public?

In order to have a regular user’s “About” page visible without being authenticated,Go to `Settings > Privacy`Enable the option `Allow search engines outside of Facebook to link to your profile`.Note: It’s currently not possible to see a user’s timeline without being logged in.

My facebook timeline has gone blank and all i can see is my cover picture. how do i get all my wall posts back?

same problem, but i didn't solve it as iLin suggested

When you hide a Facebook post on your timeline, does your friend who posted it still see the post on your timeline? Or can they see that you hid the post?

They'd have to go to your news feed or if it was on your timeline and hidden then yes, the friend will have the ability to go look on your page to find the post.  If someone "likes" the post on your friends page, your hidden post may return.  If any changes on the post from any one's post where it was seen can cause the post to return to your page and news feed.  It's a glitche or known issue.

How to get rid of the "joined facebook" date from timeline?

You can hide your join date from the public, but you have to do it twice. Since you've already hidden it once, follow the steps below. IMPORTANT: Your FB account must have a bit of activity in it so that the "Highlights" tab shows up at the top of the page. It won't show up if you just joined or you just have one or two activities.

1. Go to your Timeline and scroll all the way down until you see "Highlights" up top. The bar should look like this: Your Name>Timeline>Year>Highlights
2. Click the down arrow next to "Highlights" and click "All Stories." Wait for the page to load all the stories. Might take a while if you have a lot of activity.
3. Scroll all the way down again ("Born on" is the last entry) and scroll up a bit until you see your join date.
4. Now click the pencil icon and "Hide" the story for the second time.

That's it. If you don't see your join date, check if you have enough activities. Again, the "Highlights" tab must appear. I know it's a pain in the ***, but should work.

Hiding from timeline on Facebook only hides what you did on profile but not on news feed huh?

Ok I don't get if I thought if you hide something from time line you are also hiding it from news feed as well?

I mean there is some pictures I post I dont want the whole world to see like I am showing off or something just like people to see it casually when they come across my page

the reason i know facebook does this is because i have a fake facebook id and then my real one

i updated my profile picture and added some other in a album and then click in activity log to hide from timeline but on my fake facebook name right in the freaking newsfeed it shows i have put up up a new profile picture and added this ablum i even logged off on the fake one and refresh and its still there like wtf.

what gives am i doing something wrong?

i am pretty sure a lot of people like me think that stuff you hide from timeline doesn't automatically appear in the news feed how do i prevent that from happening?

i dont want to post this as a newsfeed obviously status updates is a different story but seriously ???

My friends facebook timeline is partially blank?

he added you to his restricted list, that way you can only see public posts and things you are tagged in

Can someone still see my posts if they block me on Facebook?

I really wonder why this question is asked so often. The function of a BLOCK on Facebook is to disconnect in every way the person blocked. So, if an existing friend Blocks you, you mostly cease to exist in their Facebook world. They also mostly cease to exist in your Facebook world. The Block is not an absolute Chinese Wall, however. Blocking someone may not prevent all communications or interactions (example: in apps or groups there may be some visibility between the blocker and the blocked). Blocking only affects your interactions with that person on Facebook.Since they initiated the block, you will not appear in anything on their news feed or timeline and they will not appear in anything on your news feed or timeline.Since their action effected an “unfriend” result, there is no way for them to remain in your Friends list on your profile. That is pretty simple. The only way to remedy this is for them to UNBLOCK you on their account. If they never do that, you will never see them or anything they post, comment, reply.Even if they post, comment on someone who was a mutual friend. You will not see the comment in the mutual friends post or comment stream. You might see their name in the comment or posts by someone else as long as the name is not actually a tag. In other words, not every one with the same name will be blocked from you, only the one with a name that has the connection to their account.Facebook only talks about Blocking as an action YOU do so you have to figure out the flip side when someone blocks you.You can block someone to prevent them from seeing things you post on your profile, starting conversations with you or adding you as a friend. Blocking someone you're friends with will automatically unfriend them.People you block won't be able to:See things you post on your profileTag you in posts, comments or photosInvite you to events or groupsStart a conversation with youAdd you as a friendWhen you block someone, you also won't be able to do things like start a conversation with them or add them as a friend. Keep in mind that blocking someone may not prevent all communications or interactions (ex: in apps or groups) and only affects your interactions with that person on Facebook.Note: When you unblock someone, you won't automatically be friends again. If you block a friend and then unblock them, you'll need to send them a new friend request.

When you block someone on Facebook, will they still see your old posts on their timeline?

No they will not. Once you block someone all of your comments and activity cannot be seen by them. Also, you will not be able to see any of their activity either. However, if they are signed out of Facebook & you have not blocked search engines from your profile, they may still be able to see some of your activity. If you don’t want search engines to link to your profile, you can adjust your Privacy Settings. To adjust your settings:Tap and scroll to the bottomTap Account Settings > PrivacyUnder the Who can look me up? section, tap Do you want other search engines to link to your timeline? and make your selectionNote: Information from your profile and some things you share can still appear in search engine results even if you select No. Public information may still appear in search results. This includes stuff you share with the audience set to Public, posts and comments on Pages and Public groups and posts in the Community Forum section of the Help Center.Source: Help Center
