Which kind of dog would be best - Golden Retriever, GS Pointer, Hungarian Viszla, Border Terrier or a Cocker S?
You sure sound like a good fit for a Vizsla and I don't say that often to people that ask me if they should get one. 135 posts I have done about Vizsla subjects on my blog, redbirddog, over the last 8 months. We own two Vizslas (2 and 3 years old). Great dogs. They have gotten me into the best shape I have been in in years. They can walk for hours. When I get home and I am beat and tired, I take them and they jump in the Jeep and we go off for an hour walk minimum. By the time we get home we are more relaxed. I smile everytime we go out. We are off for another pointing breed field trial this weekend. Great sport and reason to get out in the country and enjoy what these hunting dogs were breed for. Only got into this last year. Good dog breed for truckers?
Mix,less problems then pure breeds,much nicer,can get a medium sized one with short hair so it sheds less. Can also be much more loyal and obiediant. Or a pitbull (very miss understood breed) very good with children,almost never run away,shed very little,very obedient,
My dog whines so high pitched. How do I get hi to stop?
He's a german shepard mix and he's almost a year old. My friends have dogs around the same age that don't even come close to this sound. It sounds like he's trying to break the glasses in the kitchen. He does it all the time even when there's nothing wrong with him. Just put him in the cage and wait 4-10 minutes and you'll hear it. There's never anything wrong with him when he whines most of the time. I don't want him to stop whingin. ITS JUST THE SOUND. It makes me want to bang my head against a wall until I'm out-cold (I would never do that)
