Question On Doing Things

Doing illegal things on Public Wifi question?

I always hear people saying that if you use public wifi and do something illegal, you will go to jail and stuff. But really, if you are using a library's network and don't use any VPN/TOR or anything and do something illegal, how will they catch you? Like, there's at least dozens of other people on the library WiFi too, so how will they know that it's you?

I'm not doing anything illegal, I just want to know how library's and other public wifi networks can know WHO you are on their network. Like, if they know your computer MAC Address, that's not going to do anything. They can't literally track that. Like, how do they even track you? Please explain, thanks.

How can I stop asking questions on Quora and start doing the things people advised here?

When I was younger, much younger, I had a pretty good idea of what I was capable of, or at least I thought I did. Then I went to the Army and learned that I had no idea of my capabilities. Getting to the point I thought was “it”, I found it was still quite far off. It is all in our mind. We need to be showed how far we can go before believing it. One of my bigger problems today is how to relay this insight to my 13 years old son…It is all in our minds, who we are, what we are capable of, how far can we go. It is up to you to decide when you are going to stop asking questions and start implementing answers you were given. It is perhaps difficult for you. Some difficulties are harder to get by. You have not stated a specific difficulty for me to answer directly, but a bit of advice, beyond taking the decision to act is this: If you find it hard to start, take a personal trainer to show you how to get going and follow his instructions. Soon you will see you don’t need anyone anymore….

Do you question things you generally do and stop doing it because you find some flaws and drawbacks in it (habit)?

I have some better understanding of this now.I recently read the book called “The Power of Habit” and I was fascinated by what it suggests. We are our habits. Even thinking is a habit. So, yes, you can question things and stop doing them. But only if you find something else to replace your habit.Habits work like this. Cue>Action>Reward.Every habit has a cue. If you bite your nails, the action happens because of a cue(anxiety, nervousness etc.).So the understand has to be that the cue will remain the same but the action needs to change. And the reward also has to stay the same.Because if the reward is different the mind will keep craving it.So yes, you can change habits. But you have to do that deliberately. That’s why people can’t quit smoking and drinking just because they want to.

Do you constantly question your masculinity when doing things that are viewed as feminine?

Yes, I used to think like this way back when. When I was going through my divorce of my second wife and we were seperated I was doing many different things I now consider feminine. I was taking classes in floral design, and working for a floral shop delivering and designing floral arrangements. I joined a feminist book club and was the only male member of Code Pink in Boston, MA. Not long after that I joined a face book group “Nail Polish and Gossip.” besides painting my toenails I carried a purse and had my left ear pierced.I was even painting my fingernails and toenails with colored polish, sometime matching the color. However, it took a long time to realize that I always wanted to be a man and gave up the femininity traits. So, now I just paint my toenails when I feel the need to be me. Hope that helps, :)

Dexter fans! Is Dexter a bad person doing good things or a good person doing bad things?

I have been in love with the Shotime series Dexter. It's a fantastic show - well scripted and acted.

So my question.. Do you think Dexter is a good person who is just doing bad things? OR Is he a bad person doing good things?

People might think to themselves "Duh he's bad, he kills people." Yes, but he also saves lives by killing other serial killers who would potentially kill innocent people. Murder is wrong, yes.. but if it has to happen I would want to see it happen with Dexter's motives and code.
And that's my little incentive :)

Also!- Who's your favorite Dexter character? Besides Dexter.
(mine would be Misuka - haha)
