Question on Fascism and Mussolini?

. Which best characterizes Mussolini's fascist regime?

A. Corporatism shielded Italy from most of the distress of the Great Depression.
B. Focus was on a return to past traditions rather than modernization efforts.
C. One's Italian citizenship was more important than one's ethnic background.
D. Unemployment levels improved, but Italy's standard of living worsened.

History question: Why fascism failed?

Firstly, any ideology that denies people free will will eventually fail (communism is another example) and it's one reason. There was resistance to the regimes of Germany, Italy and Spain during their fascist eras. Another is they tried to expand which brought them into competition with other powers and in Hitler's case he overstretched his armies leading to defeat.

What is FASCISM?

Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology (generally tied to a mass movement) that considers individual and other societal interests subordinate to the interests of the state. Fascists seek to forge a type of national unity, usually based on (but not limited to) ethnic, cultural, racial, religious attributes. Various scholars attribute different characteristics to fascism, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism, statism, militarism, totalitarianism, anti-communism, corporatism, populism, collectivism, and opposition to political and economic liberalism.

Some of the governments and parties most often considered to have been fascist include Fascist Italy under Mussolini, Nazi Germany under Adolf Hitler, Spain's Falange, Portugal's New State, Hungary's Arrow Cross Party, and Romania's Iron Guard. Some authors reject broad usage of the term or exclude certain of these parties and regimes.[8] Following the defeat of the Axis powers in World War II, there have been few self-proclaimed fascist groups and individuals. In contemporary political discourse, fascist has become a slur, used by adherents of some ideologies to describe their opponents.

Fascism attracted political support from diverse sectors of the population. In countries such as Romania and Hungary, fascism had a strong base of support among the working classes and extremely poor peasants. Other supporters have included representatives of big business, farmers, landowners, disaffected World War I veterans, small business owners, nationalists, reactionaries and extreme conservatives. Intellectuals who have supported fascism include: Giovanni Gentile (who ghostwrote the Doctrine of Fascism), Gabriele D'Annunzio, Curzio Malaparte, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, Carl Schmitt and Martin Heidegger.

Let's say I ask a question: "When will the Russian fascist’s aggression in Ukraine end?", then the Russian cyber army reports this as insincere, what will Quora moderators do?

Well, you know the question is making an assertion that some people will object to, so it will get flagged. Don’t try to use questions to make a point that will be controversial, whether you believe it is true or not. That assertion is not necessary to ask this question. You can ask it thus: “when will the Russian president’s” or “Russian state’s aggression in Ukraine end?”Let answers make their points, and let upvotes and downvotes determine which answers drift to the top. That is the nature of Quora. Make your points in your answers, but make sure they are well supported or interesting enough to get upvotes.Answers to the following questions, for example, have received thousands of views:Fascism: Is Russia a fascist country? How well does contemporary Russia fit the definition of a fascist state? What attributes of modern Russia make it different from fascist states?Politics: Is Russia becoming a fascist state under the presidency of Vladimir Putin? Is Vladimir Putin a fascist? Why is Russia denouncing fascism in Europe when they are friendly with so many European fascist organisations? These questions have not not been flagged into obscurity, because they are not making a point. Some of their answers are insightful and interesting, even if you don’t fully agree. Maybe you can post a better one?

What is fascism?

Fascism is a political system that is extremely right-wing, nationalistic and a dictatorship. It has capitalism as its economic base making it strongly apposed to socialism and communism.
The Italian fascists under Mussolini started the idea but Adolf Hitler and the German/Austrian fascists took it even further including eugenics in its policies and therefore killing Jews, Gypsies, Slavs along with anyone who was physically or mentally handicapped.
There are many fascist organizations around the world, all having different names. The term "Nazi" ONLY refers to German and Austrian fascists, but it is used by many inaccurately.
