FIRST JOB! i have questions about my w-4 form.?

I just started a job at taco bell, im only 17, so i do not have to pay taxes at the end of the year..... on my w-4 form i filed to be exempt (wich i heard means that they dont take federal taxes out of your pay check) but exactly how much is that? how much exactly would they take out if i was not exempt? On my w-2 for i claimed 1... myself.... any help?

I'd choose either 5%, or 15%. If you don't yourself believe that you'd be in the top 5%, don't choose that one. They're most likely looking for confidence, but not arrogance, so choose the 5% only if it's true. I wouldn't choose anything below 15%.

Questions about jobs and my ASVAB score... Please help me out!?

As a potential Navy recruit I know CT jobs are available. The recruiters there were trying to tell me that they are putting a lot of people in CT...lots of females. CT(crypto) They have different specialties that you can see if you can get one promised on a contract to attend "c" school. Just some food for thought.

My manager gets upset when I ask him questions about my job. How should I approach tasks when I don’t know what to do?

Are these questions answered by training you have received, or by a procedures handbook that you should be familiar with? Many jobs have very complete procedures written down.In that case, then you you should review the course materials and the handbooks.I guess it would depend on the patience of the supervisor and your level of training that you should have. If the question has been answered many times or the information is easily available then I can understand some frustration.Perhaps you should study, ask someone else (like your co-workers) and keep some notes so you don’t ask the same thing over and over. If your job is simple, knowing what to do should become repetitive over a short time.

What if I have no questions to ask my job interviewer? Does this look bad?

Not necessarily. I’ve had interviews where I honestly felt like I didn’t have questions at the end. Especially if you’re interviewing with multiple interviewers, all the previous ones really might have answered all your questions. This is pretty common in software engineering interviews (I don’t have much context for other types of jobs).You can handle this in several ways:Ask generic questions: “what is your favorite part of working here?” Or “what is your least favorite part of working here?” It’s pretty open ended, and if you actually ask this question to all of your interviewers for the same job, you can get a sense of what the general themes are. If everyone says “the biggest challenge has been dealing with (such and such)”, then you can decide whether you want to run or not. If you want to make it more specific, ask, “what was your most recent cultural challenge, and how’d you deal with it?” Or something along those lines.You can handle this by saying something like, “I think you’ve really helped explain the position, and you answered any questions that I would have had. Thank you.” I’ve interviewed many people over my past three companies, and while it’s “bonus points” if they ask interesting questions, I definitely would not have a had a problem with this answer.Your mileage may vary.
