Is it ever a good idea to drop out of high school?
I speak as a high-school dropout.I can mostly agree with all of the advice to not drop out of high school, however there are always reasonable exceptions. The conclusions drawn from years of data are incontrovertible though– if you drop out of high school you face a MUCH higher likelihood of being a teenage parent, living a life in poverty, and being incarcerated.A higher likelihood. There are always exceptions.I dropped out, got my GED, labored hard, learned a lot of hard lessons, got married young, started my own business, had kids, made lots of money, was able to keep my wife at home with the kids, never saw my wife or my kids, learned even more hard lessons, went back for my BA, got accepted to grad school, got my state teaching license and became an English teacher.As teachers we tell you to go to school, get good grades, get a high school diploma, get into a good four-year college, and then specialize BECAUSE THIS IS YOUR BEST BET, STATISTICALLY SPEAKING, for a good life.Additionally, and I know this is a hard one to swallow, high school is teaching you how to achieve your objectives in spite having to deal with other people’s BS and society’s expectations. In high school you are dealing with the objective of getting a diploma in spite of teenagers’ BS, teachers’ BS, and the expectations of the warped society that is high school as well as the expectations of society at large.This does not mean that a high school diploma is the ONLY way to a good life.By not getting a diploma you are choosing to do things the hard way, and given the fact that most dropouts are looking for an easy way out of their responsibilities, this is rarely a good plan.Stay in school. Learn as much as you possibly can in the way of mathematics, language, how people function in groups, how you function in a group, and how well you deal with challenges and adversity. I promise, you will need all of it.

To finish high school, you may either go through it like everyone else, or take the GED, an equivalency test that gets you the same benefits as everyone who graduated. However, the GED is only for those who have a high school graduate’s knowledge level - if you haven’t studied enough, you won’t pass. But if you think you’ve learned enough, then by all means take it - in fact, it’s likely the better option so that you can go to college and get on with your life. Otherwise, finish what’s left for you in high school and make the decision on what to do next.

There’s no Quranic punishment. It’s just a sin you committed.You know it’s a sin because the Quran requires both genders to “lower the gaze and guard your private parts” in verses 24:30–31. We know that the actual meaning of lowering one’s gaze is to not stare at the opposite sex in a way that gets you aroused (except the spouse) because immediately after the command it said “AND” guard the private parts; the word “and” indicates that they both are related, and the only way lowering the gaze is related to guarding the private parts (which means keeping away from sex until marriage) is that lustful gazes make one more vulnerable to sex, and therefore lessens our guard on our private parts, and to avoid this one should not look at the opposite sex in a way that gets them aroused.If one is not allowed to stare in a way that causes arousal, how can one justify touching in ways that cause arousal (and go beyond gazing) like kissing?You committed a sin, now you ask God for forgiveness. That’s how it works for all sins, including the ones that have a specific punishment (not this one).
What is the point of girls wearing Hijab?
I notice the same thing too. I mean come on if you're gonna dress like a slut then don't even bother with the Hijab. It's saddddd BUT.. there are still modest, nice, polite and well mannered girls out there who wear hijab and dress properly. We should remember and acknowledge them too :)
Are Sufis Muslims..............?
Assalaamu Alaikum to all: [wrwb] i am not a Sufi but i have the Greatest Respect for the Teachings found within Islam. i have learned a something about Islam from some of the literature that i have read... and from the Holy, Beloved and Glorious Qur'an.! i would further argue that i might not be a Muslim by some standards but Allahu a'lam. Sufism teaches Love. That is what i find the Holy Qur'an to bee... a Book of Love. Certainly it is a Book of Wisdom, Guidance and Honor.
