What are the Best books to read for a business management student?
There are so many books that may or may not be helpful and I have no idea what area of interest you have in business. What resonates with one person may be of little or no interest to another.Consider that you are best served by reading a variety of books from different topic areas to get a big picture perspective. Some topic examples are:Systems Thinking (often not considered but very valuable)Leadership (look for books with different perspectives to avoid a narrow focus)Emotional Intelligence (reading a book is a start but developing EI requires thoughtful application and practice)EntrepreneurshipLearning Organizations (Peter Senge is perhaps the best author to start this topic)Marketing (in both the traditional and digital areas -important to see the transition over time and what gets integrated)Look for books that were published (20-10-5-current years) as most businesses today are a mix of business management practices that have developed over time.
