Request For Deposit Refund- Water Electricity Company.

What will happen if I pay my electric bill after the due date on Paytm?

You may pay it thru Paytm however Wallet companies like Mobikwik, Freecharge might not allow you to pay bills once last date of bill is passed. Yes, you might find penalty charges included in your next bill, for not paying bill on time.

Will i get my utilities deposit back?

The deposit is some protection for the water department that you will pay all moneys owed including interest on unpaid balances. If you pay as promised you will get the deposit back when you move.
If you satisfy them that you are a good risk, after a year or two, you might be able to convince them to return your deposit at that time. Also try to find out if they will accrue interest for you on your deposit. It might be more than you can get from a bank.

Be sure to save your proof of paying the deposit AND proof of receipts of all your payments.

Does GST apply on security deposits?

If the security deposits are refundable in nature, then GST doesn’t apply. This can happen when you are renting a commercial property. You may be asked to pay 5 months’ rent in advance as a security deposit, to be given back at the termination of the rental period. So, GST doesn’t apply here. But in case, at the time of vacation, the property owner withholds any amount as charges for repair work, then GST applies on the amount withheld.Suppose, you’re required to make 20% of the purchase order you have placed as collateral (technically, it is an advance though), which can be adjusted at the time of final settlement, GST applies on the amount paid as collateral/ advance.Note: If you are paying security deposit for renting a residential house, there is no GST at all as renting of property for residential purpose is fully exempt.

I have a few questions about moving to a different state? Thanks!?

I am going to start off by saying I have lived in WV in the same county my whole life and I want out of here for not just me, but my kid's sake. My fiance and I discussed moving and I love Knoxville, TN. I have been there about ten times and love it each time and the people. I am so clueless to finding a place though. I have tried Craigslist, but they all seem like scams. Is there any places I can look to help me find a place to rent? My fiance works on the drilling rigs, so it is pretty much all up to me to try to find one and then we have to drive 5-6 hours away to look at it, ect. Our price range is about $900-1000 a month and plus that much of a deposit and I have looked at so many websites and there are so many scams posted. Can someone tell me a good place to look that doesn't have that many scams on it or should I just try calling everyone on Craigslist? I don't want to find a place and drive over five hours to look at it for nothing. lol.. Thanks so much for answering my question!

Is it legal for a Property management company or landlord to charge for a walk through inspection on a rental?

I requested my landlord to accompany me on the inspection of my apartment before I moved in. I wanted to document, photograph and video any deficiencies. The landlord told me that I would have to pay $40 for this.

Also I was told that I can walk through the apartment "myself" and document, photograph and video any deficiencies. But at the end of my lease, if my condition inspection report, photographs and videos didn't match their report, that "THEIR REPORT, PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS WOULD PREVAIL over mine"

How is that legal? Why should I be charged for damages they missed on their inspection before I moved in? If I can prove with photos and video, it was there before I actually moved in, I shouldn't be charged.

The landlord in question is Echo Summit Properties in Greenwood Village Coloradao. www.echo-summit.com

Any references to state laws or agencies that can help me, would be much appreciated. Perhaps a witness to verify the condition of the apartment before I move in.

Thanks

Can a broken water meter cause a higher reading?

The last 2 months of my water bill has been a lot higher than normal. The first month it was nearly twice what it has been and we thought maybe we just happened to use a lot of water for some reason so we let it go. This time it was 3 times the normal amount and we know for a fact that we haven't been using THAT much extra water.
I have already looked into the possible causes of this and are positive there is no leak. We've watched the meter with everything turned off and it doesn't budge at all. The second I turn on my faucet on a slow dribble, the meter begins to spin.
I can't seem to find anything out there that says it is possible for a water meter to OVER clock the usage. Is this possible? Again, I am 100% positive that there is no leak causing it to spin extra.
