Reseting The Ipod Touch Comepletely

What is the best way to reset an iPod touch?

You can make it through Settings app or iTunes. They both can reset your iPod touch to factory default. But the difference is, it will automatically update your iPod touch to the latest iOS system by using iTunes.Settings: You can go to “Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings”.iTunes: Connect your iPod touch to computer and launch iTunes > click the device icon from the top left corner on iTunes > hit “Restore iPod” at the right panel. But if you reset your iPod touch wanting to give it away, the above ways is not safe enough, especially when you iPod touch contains some of your private data. You’d best consider iOS data eraser to reset, it is much safer than iPod reset or iTunes restore. The one I know is iMyFone iOS Eraser. It can permanently reset your iPod touch, 100% unrecoverable.Or you can also refer to The Best Choice to Factory Reset iPod touch Safely. IPod touch is completely dead, is it the battery?

Since there's no way to really contact Apple by email, that I could find anyway, I was wondering how to tell if your iPod touch's battery is dead or not. My iPod touch appears completely dead, nothing works at all and it hasn't turned on in a very long time. I want to be able to use it again but I'm not sure if it's the battery to begin with. It's been like this for a long time so I don't remember exactly how this happened. Nothing happens no matter what buttons I push or if I plug it in to a computer or anything. Is it the battery that's dead or something else?

What does it do if you reset an iPod touch?

Access Reset: Settings -> General -> Reset -> (options)

..resetting ipod....you have two options directly from the ipod touch, "reset all settings" and "erase all content & settings" ....

The "the reset all settings" shall not erase your info/songs etc...from the device, it will simply reset the "default" options/settings on the ipod, to what manufacture settings that were placed at the time you purchased the device.

"erase all content & settings" pretty self explanitory, ....obviously earases every song/video/contact or history on the ipod, and resets the device completely to reflect what the device looked like the first time you purchased it......

The wifi doesnt really matter, as long as the network your trying to connect to doesnt have a "security code", it will connect like any other device that has wifi capabilities. ...,

so if you *Have* to reset your ipod, simply "backup" to your Itunes account and you won't need to lose any files.
