Returning Items Sold By Amazon Seller

Tracking Amazon items that says "returning to seller"???

Ok so two days ago I ordered something on Amazon. I paid for the two day shipping and was told I would get the item today. So I've been tracking the item and the whole day today it said it was in transit. Ok so since it was 9pm and UPS never arrived, I just figured I wouldn't get it today.

I was a little upset that I didnt get it today mainly because I did pay extra for it. Anyways, just now I decided to track the item one last time and now the UPS website says "returning to seller". Does anyone know why they're doing this?! I've been home all day so I know they havent made any attempts to deliver. Even if they had, there's no reason why they should return it to the seller.

Anyone experienced this before?!

How to return an item from amazon?

How do I return an item shipped by a seller?

Amazon.com cannot accept returns of items fulfilled by sellers. Items fulfilled by a seller must be returned to the seller according to their return guidelines. Read more about ordering from Amazon merchants.

If you need to return an item that was shipped by a seller, please contact the seller directly
If you receive an item different than what was described, or that is clearly in worse condition than indicated, you must contact your seller directly to report the defect or damage within 14 days of receiving the shipment. You should be able to reach an amicable agreement with one another. If necessary, you can return your item to the seller for a refund. Please note that items purchased from Amazon Marketplace sellers need to be returned directly to the seller and not to Amazon.com.

What happens if I keep returning all the items I buy from amazon?

When a customer is returning a product, the warehouse scans the product. If they find that the product is the original one which was sent to you, there would not be any problem. A refund would be generated. So, every product returned would be scanned and a refund generated. All the data would be captured. If for any reason, you contact the customer support, they would check your returns history and if it seems fishy, eg: some reason\lost-not returned-refund given for above a certain limit, they will contact an investigative team internally. These guys will now see if there is any similar activity in your other accounts if any. If an abuse is detected, you will be issued a warning. The warning is that your account will be closed if the pattern continues. How this affects you is, the question that you get at the end of an email or a call or chat " Did I help you" will no longer be sent to you.The Associates working from Amazon's end will not respond in a warm loving nature once this power of you giving them a Yes/No is taken away from you. It simply means whatever it is you want from the customer support will not happen. If you continuously contact them with the same request, they will once again forward your account to the investigative team, who will close your account.I'm not sure about the legal action though.Hope this answer helps.

Returning item from amazon while its still shipping?

You can refuse the package once the item arrive by the mail carrier or mark return to sender on it if it's placed in your mailbox, but at that point you have no control how it's handled or delivered back. The seller could claim they never received it if he really wants to play hardball. You can assume the best. good luck. You could also just re-post the package to be safer with delivery confirmation so you have proof item was received on sellers end.

Do Amazon sellers get mad when prime members return items?

No. But you know what they do get mad at? People who decide to return items but keep the original item and return the box or sometimes nothing at all. You wouldn’t believe the amount of people that do this—and how much of a loss the sellers take from this. It takes time and effort to sort these issues out with Amazon and quite frankly, it is disgusting that people would do this. What’s interesting is that this trend seems to have started recently. Don’t get me wrong—there were always people like this. But now it’s happening on a much bigger scale. Feel free to return anything you are unhappy with, but please don’t pull a stunt like that.
