Ridiculous True Landlord Story Ever

What are some of the funniest true stories you have ever heard or experienced?

When Karma kicks you in the nuts.. ;)This incident happened to my friend recently. It's so hilarious that I thought I will share with you folks. It happened in Mumbai. She was looking for an auto (an auto-rickshaw - like a scooter/moped with a covered passenger section) and as soon as she got into one a lady travelling in her scooter bumped into the front wheel of the Autorickshaw. The scooter was stuck and the lady politely requested the autowala (driver of the rickshaw) to slightly move back his auto. That is when the drama started. The Autowala started getting very abusive. He didn't pay any heed to that lady's pleads but grew more vulgar with every second taunting her dress and the state of modern women in general. A small crowd soon gathered watching the "fun".The lady patiently listened to all that shit and finally said ,"Bhaiya, please band karo ye bakwas. Please auto peeche le lo. Aakhri bar bol rahi hoon. (Please stop this nonsense and move your auto back. This is my last warning)".The autowaala did comply but not before passing a very lewd comment. All hell broke loose. The lady parked her scooter just ahead of the auto, came back and caught hold of the guy's collars and dragged him out of his seat. Then she started beating the shit out of the guy. She slaped and punched him, kicked him in his nuts. Everyone was cheering her now. The autowala did finally realize that the lady was no ordinary woman but ...The words POLICE were written at the back of the scooter."Maaf kar do madam. Galti ho gayi ! (Forgive me, I am so sorry)""Dikhati hain mein tere ko aaj kaun hoon mein. (Let me show you who I am)".More slaps and kicks ensued. My friend changed to a different auto.

My section 8 landlord didn't renew my lease do I have to move?....10 points?

Ok first off, ive been living in this apartment for 2 years and have not paid my rent late ever! I lived in an apartment building b4 and i usually get lease renewals a few months ahead of time. My landlord said he couldnt find the lease renewal paper section 8 sent him. I did have problems with the landlord b4 because he crashed into my car but he paid for repairs after a long time bc his mechanics wasnt fixing the car right. They also opened my child support checks being nosy to see how much i was getting. I have a good job and i pay my portion of rent on time. I dont know what issues they have with me why they would not renew my lease. I dont make noise but I do shop a lot for my daughter so they see the garbage in the garbage area. But jealousy should be no issue why they shouldnt renew my lease right? Do i have to move now, r can i live in a section 8 apartment without a lease?
Please no rude answers , i erased the previous question due to dumb *** people. I need answers not insults, 10 points for best answer. Thanks in advance to all the positive answers.

How do I get my crazy landlord to leave me alone?

So my boyfriend and I rent a room in a house. Our landlord lives here, as well as 5 other people. She can be nice and I do enjoy talking to her sometimes, but she can be extremely annoying and overbearing. She doesn't seem to get the fact that we're renters, not friends, and that we aren't going to drop everything we're doing to drive her to the liquor store or something (although she has a car of her own, but is just too lazy to go on her own). She constantly is asking us to pick things up from the store for her, wants us to do chores and yard work (although we always clean up after ourselves, and I even clean the bathroom a few of us share). I have to work early hours, and since I usually have to be up for work at 4 in the morning, I'm not up for late night excursions to go get her cigarettes and alcohol. I've told her this many times, but she doesn't seem to get it. When I straight up refuse, she gets pissed off. I always give her an excuse, which usually is true. But honestly, I have my own life to deal with and I'm not going to let her run it. As a matter of fact, she was just standing outside calling for me, and now she's calling my phone over and over. When I straight up refuse, she flips out. Things have gotten so bad before that she's threatened to kick us out, but I'll spare you the details of that completely ridiculous story.

Lately I've just been pretending to be asleep whenever she's looking for me, like I'm doing right now. But I don't want to have to be a hostage in my own room. I pay too much money to have to jump out my window and hop the fence every time I want to leave the house, so I don't get a huge to-do list every time I go out. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Big fight with my landlord....what should I do?

Legally he's allowed to yell at you all he wants and don't have to let you explain. You can yell at him all you want too. He's being a jerk and from a common decency perspective he didn't treat you very well and could have handled it differently but people are people and such is life. There is nothing you can do about it.

If it is a no-smoking apartment and you guys still smoke in there that is an issue, as you know, but how you keep your apartment is none of his business unless it's so bad that it affects the other tenants. That doesn't mean that he's not entitled to his opinion and just like anyone else he is allowed to express it to you.

You shouldn't worry about being kicked out though if you have a lease. If you don't have a lease he can cancel your tenancy any time with proper notice. If you are in a lease he would have to go to court and evict you and he won't be able to evict you for smoking and having a messy place. At least it's highly unlikely. I'd stop the inside smoking from here on though to be on the safe side. You have been warned and if you keep doing it he has much more leverage to get you evicted and you don't want an eviction on your record. It's not that hard to remember that you smoke outside only. Remove all the ashtrays in the house. That should remind your roommate.

As far as the dishwasher goes he may or may not have to fix it when you call him. It depends on what your lease says. If the lease doesn't say that he will fix it he probably doesn't have to. Most state laws require that landlords make repairs to keep the place livable but since you can live without a dishwasher he would not be required to fix it unless he has promised it in the lease.

If you want to you could write him a letter apologizing and explaining why the place was so messy. That may help your relationship.

My landlord kicked me out of my apartment and I'm homeless. Oh my God I'm freaking out, what am I supposed to do?! PLEASE HELP?

I cannot believe this is happening to me, but I'm homeless. This is just so terrible, I'm so scared and I have no idea what to do! I called my parents, asking if I could stay with them, but they just said no and then shut the phone!! I can't believe they would be so insensitive as to not take me in when I'm homeless. The truth is, because I grew up in a family that is really affluent and powerful, right before I left for college, they left me a 20 mill trust fund. In college, I got involved with this really skeevy dude and I ended up using all the money on him. Biggest mistake EVER, I know. Long story short, I ended up being broke and not being able to afford anything, and now it got to the point where I got kicked out of my apartment and have ended up homeless. I have never had to deal with anything like this before, and my parents aren't being very helpful AT ALL. What terrible people! What do I do? Do I have to live on the streets? Ugh help
