Going to a concert should i still where ear plugs ? a.s.a.p Ear infection?
Okay i am see the Jonas brothers in 17 days no hate comments ill just ignore them and they wont hurt me so don't even bother. I do have an ear infection i went to the doctor and got ear drops and this other medicine i take by moth the doctor said i should feel better in a couple of days. I don't know what kind of ear infection it was she just you have an ear infection. My ears never got bad from going to concert and plus this is a outside concert so the music will not stay in one place and i am 24 rows back on a balcony thing or plat form because i am handicapped. My mom might think i am crazy if i ask her to buy ear plugs, i forgot to ask the doctor about that to. Its not like i will be right by the speaker and plus my ears almost never ring after i got to a concert my moms ear do but mine don't. I am just scared about my hearing. Do not say to buy them because there music sucks please thanks you will be just wasting your time because i wont care one bit about what u say about them.
What is a Dream Theater concert like?
I will agree with pretty much everything that Kenny Steen put in his answer and add what I experienced at my first Dream Theater show, almost 20 years at this point.They had an opening act at that point (I honestly don’t remember who it was, sorry), so their set was not the 2-hour+ extravaganza that it has become since. However, I remember being absolutely stunned at their ability to replicate their studio music, with seemingly no effort. And they do not create easy and simple music. The most interesting bit about that was when the soccer ball came out on stage and John Petrucci and John Myung started knocking it back and forth to each other. Yes! Right there on the stage while playing these insane riffs and not missing a beat!This was also the time when Derek Sherinian was in the band (the tour behind Falling Into Infinity) so they played a song as Nightmare Cinema (I believe the one I saw was Deep Purple’s Perfect Strangers; honestly don’t know if they did any others). That was when they switched instruments. Petrucci banged to drums. Myung went to keyboards. Sherinian played guitar. Mike Portnoy moved to the bass. And that left James LaBrie to just do his thing and belt out the melody, but it was awesome! How many other bands can do something like that?The other thing that they did back then, but have not in a fairly long while, is including bits of other bands’ songs in theirs. You can find examples of this on their live release Once In A LIVEtime, which was recorded in Paris, but basically, they would find a part of one of their songs that might have some similarity to another song, seque to that one for a few bars, and then switch back to their own again. For one of the best ones, search YT for Peruvian Skies from that set and listen for Metallica’s Enter Sandman riff.Lastly, I don’t know how things are these days, but after that first concert, I waited outside the venue, where their buses were. There were a good couple dozen people. The band came out one at a time after the show and they were all gracious, even though I’m sure they were tired, and gave every fan that asked an autograph.I’ve seen them live several times since then and I just don’t think that there is any band out there that compares to them, quite honestly.
Can i wear hats at a concert ?
definitly. I went to Britneys and I wore a cute knit beret. I got in without question. Hats are the best accesory!! woot!!! :)
How do I bend "bend to fit" nose rings?
I like the bend to fit. Put it in your nose and see how much you should bend. You take pliers and bend it. I prefer the bone though...the screws drive me crazy. I always end up hurting myself with the screws. The L-shaped are fine too, but I have a small nose, so sometimes I can get that piece of metal hanging out of my nostril - not sexy.
Do earplugs make concerts less enjoyable?
PROTECT YOUR EARS ! They are the only ones you have. I have been going to concerts for many years, and now work in the industry. Because no one told me, I never wore earplugs. I now have partial hearing in one ear. Was it worth it? - No. Wearing ear plugs will not ruin the experience, and you will not have ear ringing the next day, or when you leave the concert. Ever wonder why almost every band member or singer wears them? They don't want to damage their ears either. Also, by not wearing them, you could develop Tinnitus over the years, which is irreversible. What kind to get. For concerts, all you have to do is go to any drugstore, like Walgreens, CVS, etc, and buy a bunch of the soft spongy ones. It's worth the $3 to $5 to save your hearing. Just remember to wear them, pinch them, slide them in your ear canal, and your ready to go. Don't just rest them in the ear opening, they do not do anything this way. You can get custom made ones, like I have or the artists wear, but you don't need them unless you go to concerts every day. The songy ones will suit you just fine.
If you call the Z100 phone number, are they always busy?
During contests, the phone lines would be busy. It's most of NY calling, and Z100 has a big fan base. Calling on off hours will probably give you a ringing phone.. but it'll just do that: ring. Because they shut off the phones when they don't plan on taking calls. Occasionally someone might pick up. And yes, call, and be whatever number they are looking for.. and you are often put on the air... screened of course, they ask you some questions or whatever, talk to you and then replay it back on the air. After that, stay on the line, so they can get your info so they know where to send the tickets.

Well it probably wont set it off. Body jewelry companies know this can be a problem, and try and make jewelry from materials that wont set off sensitive machines. If you're still nervous you can change out the steel curved barbell and put in a PTFE barbell. They're made of flexible teflon. Or just tell the security at the detector you have a piercing in a 'sensitive' area that might set the machine off.
