Dorm room protocol/nudity?
I am a freshman in college and really am at a loss for something that happened today. I share a room with three other girls, and today two of them complained that they've "had to see me naked." I wasn't sure what that meant but they were really on me and acting like I'm all inapropriate. It suddenly dawned on me that they had been going down the hall to change clothes in the restroom stall all semester. I never realized it cause I wasn't paying attention/keeping track. They didn't really tell me I was causing a problem, but they certainly teased me and made me feel very weird. But I think it is ridiculous to expect me to go to the bathroom to change in a dirty toilet stall twice (or three) times a day. I have never (and would never) hung out naked, done homework naked, or anything like that. I wear a robe to the shower and back, etc. Is it really against roommate protocol to simply change your clothes?!? I'm worried I maybe missed something and am one of the "naked people" and just don't realize it. My summer camp growing up had wide open group showers, and I had 3 sisters, so I'm relatively comfortable changing around women (well comfortable is a big word, but it doesn't freak me out). But while I'm not a modest mouse, I am FAR from well here I am!!! Woohoo!! I think I'm reasonably discreet, and actually reasonably modest. But is it really inapropriate to get changed in my own dorm room?

They need to grow up. Seriously. Like, I'm sorry but this is something grown adults need to get used to at some point or another. You're changing clothes, it's not like you're forcing them to watch you film porn.

When I was in college, everyone wrapped up in towels and robes and covered up as much as possible. When I went to grad school, played squash and then walked into the locker room I was surprised to see thirty totally unclad girls in there walking around casually dragging towels behind them. If I had wrapped up in my towel to go to the shower, I would have been the only one doing that. So I didn't. It's cultural. Europe has a very different face on with nakedness and here in the U.S. we're not very open about it. In Berlin there's a lake that everybody goes swimming in - men, women, kids, old people, everybody and everybody strips on the beach and walks in the water naked. The Americans crawl under rocks to change or lie down on the beach and shimmy out of their clothes under a towel. In Rio Everybody wears bikinis - it's a MUST and that's regardless of age or weight. In Rio three hundred women are on the beach in a bikini and you see a Lot of them. That said, it is totally inappropriate in Rio to be naked or topless. They're not shocked at 300 lb. women dripping, pouring out of tiny bikinis but they would be SHOCKed by nudity. But they sell bikinis on the beaches! The bikini guy walks around with an opaque plastic tube. He puts the tube over a woman and she takes off her bikini and tries on the other one. Changing in a dirty toilet stall is not necessary. Are these girls heavy? They may not be comfortable letting anyone see their bodies. But why are they telling you? It's not... discreet to mention such things. What's the 4th roommate do? Does she hide in the bathroom too? Have they teased her as well? I don't think there's anything you can do about this - it's their problem and it's immature of them to have even mentioned it.
Is it illegal to video tape someone in your home without their knowledge?
You better ask a lawyer, Not me ( I'm not a lawyer).i would say yes. You're not allowed to use video as evidence. And not allowed to tape without asking? ( but ask a lawyer please). My partner once did uber. He had his share of bad or unreasonable customers ( I don't know if it was bad luck ) but uber sent him lots of bad customers who practically ruined our car. I wanted him to quit.i mentioned to him once that maybe he should tape record these bad customers. But he said that it's not allowed because he would have to let the customers know ( and they'd either be offended or not be bad….stop littering in the car). I saw a taxi show once where the taxi driver told the customers they would be on tv. They did a lot of fun or funny things on the show, made people laugh. But he had to tell the customers ahead of time that they were going to be taped. I remember that being the law? You're better off asking a lawyer ( maybe for free consultation?) or volunteer with law degree in this matter.
