When will the Royal Enfield Bullet Standard 350 get disc brakes?

The RE STD 350 is a no-frills, basic motorcycle which comes with nothing. So no ES, No Disc Brakes. However, come 2019 April, things are set to change atleast when it.comes to stopping the motorcycle.ABS becomes mandatory on 2 wheelers above 125cc. For ABS to be effective, the basic requirement is a disc brake both up front and rear… so 2019 April is the timeline to watch. Most likely it will be a single channel system and for more info, on its effectiveness and the various interations of ABS, Google ABS systems and read thru or watch the plethora of videos on the same topic.Hope this helps.

Which one is better, the Royal Enfield Bullet STD 350 or the Bullet Electra?

Here are the pros/cons of Bullet Electra and Standard 350Standard 350:Traditional standard design with hand-striped tank and toolboxesHeavier crankDrum brake at the frontKick start onlyNo gas-charged shocks at the rearSmaller 5Ah batteryElectra 350:Good color options and generous amount of chromeDisk brake at the frontElectric startGas-charged shocks at the rearLighter crank than Standard 350Larger 9Ah batteryTechnically Electra 350 is far superior than the Standard 350. Buy the Standard 350 only if you want the looks of the original Royal Enfield Bullet. Electra is more modern and the lighter crank delivers faster pick-up. On the other hand Standard 350 has a slightly more pronounced thump. It is also around Rs 15,000 cheaper than Electra. My personal preference - Standard 350 for the its design and retro feel. It’s also less common than Classics and Electras that run all over the place. Not to mention the front drum brakes perform almost at par with disk brakes.Weigh the pros/cons and your requirements, taste and budget and then take a call. I suggest you test ride both the models.

Which one is better: Royal Enfield Standard 350 or Classic 350?

The two popular bikes from Royal Enfield - Classic 350 and Standard 350 are among most popular products currently in the market. Though being from the same manufacturer, they are still apart and continues to be the beast of their class. However, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 price is slightly on the higher-end. So, let’s go through the exciting battle of the two monsters when framed against each other in the 350cc segment.Which one looks better? In terms of design, Classic 350 looks similar to its elder sibling, the Classic 500. It features tiger eye lamps and circular headlamp upfront, similar to the bullet. Its curvy silencer looks highly appealing and comes with a newly designed fuel tank. It offers two types of seating including a solo rider and a split seat for the pillion rider. In terms of brakes, the bike features a disk brake at the front wheel and a drum brake at the rear wheel. On the other hand, the Standard 350, also known as the Bullet 350, continues to exhibit the vintage look of the Bullet and makes its presence felt on roads with its thumping sound and heavy structure. It offers the standard two-seater, while the classical styling of the fuel tank gives it a retro look. The suspension system is nearly similar in both the models, with an upfront telescopic forks and a rear shock absorber. However, Bullet 350 only offers drum brakes to its wheels. The engine mechanismMechanically, both the models feature the same BS-IV compliant engine. Both the Classic 350 and Bullet 350 get a 346cc, single cylinder air-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power output of 19.8 bhp against a peak torque of 28 Nm and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. However, the B350 offers a slightly better mileage than the C350.Which one to go with? The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is priced at Rs 1,53,704 (On road, Delhi), while the Standard 350 is priced at Rs 1,28,745 (On road, Delhi). Though priced higher, C350 offers everything that is missing from the B350 and gives value for your money. If you are looking more towards easy and safe usage opt for the Classic 350, as it comes with E-starter and disk brakes to boost your riding confidence. Still, if you love the vintage design of the Standard 350, be prepared for kick-start and lesser effective braking system.View more comparison B/w Royal Enfield Standard 350 vs Royal Enfield Classic 350 Comparison Review » AutoPortal.com
