Safest Country To Work And Settle Down

Which country is the best for an Indian to settle down? Any pros and cons to discuss?

Before answering this, one needs to understand what're they looking for in life. A basic comfort, typical 9–5 job, social security, safety, health & medical for family then countries with socialist outlook works the best for them, like Norway, Sweden, Canada, Netherlands, Ireland, Finland etc. Whereas ambitious people with entrepreneurial goals, who're more into risk taking, aim bigger and better than even average citizens of the respective country, one has to look deep into Government policies(not socialist mindset), immigration laws etc.India - I call it home still, it's still the best place to live for any and all Indians. Plus if all of us move to another and just one country, just imagine?U.S - Second choice, I used to travel on regular basis, lived in Los Angeles, one time was flying back to LA from a busy work week, on a plane an old white guy sort of conservative looking next to me asks me, “Are you also heading home Son?”. Tell me one country where it's citizen or native will ask this to an Indian? You’ll find everything imaginable in this country, overall very accepting, gives you an opportunity to be an entrepreneur, be the leader in the companies like Microsoft, Google and many more, this is by far cannot be matched by any nation. Remember things aren't cheap here, especially health benefits are not free for public.Canada - Third Choice, very accepting, humble, helping and very friendly people, huge Indian community especially Punjabi’s, feels like you’re in Punjab if you’re in Toronto, health service and human development index is even better than U.S. Immigration is far easier than complex U.S. Only issue is you cannot make it as big as you can in US, even Canadians come to U.S for that.Japan - Fourth choice, a wonderful place to live for anyone, for Indians too. You’ll find many helping people, very secure, no racism, awesome food but very expensive and everything is small. The biggest problem is work culture, there’s a reason Japan is among the most unhappiest nation.Singapore - Fifth choice, safe, secure, good community, accepting, you can find all the luxury to anything Indian there but Chinese or Malay do not interfere or indulge in socializing with Indians much, usually I’ve noticed Indian’s socialize among themselves too, if that’s you then Singapore is nice.I’m not too sure about Europe yet, I’ve to explore and be there long enough in order to include that in the list here.

Is Denmark a safe country to settle down for EU foreigners when the Danish People's Party creates a coalition in the Danish Parliament?

Sadly, it depends where you’re from. If you’re white, there’s usually not an issue, though there is some tension with foreign workers from the Baltic countries. If you’re from the Middle East you’ll have the hardest time.Denmark prides itself on being a non-aggressive country, where we’re all entitled to our opinions but express it verbally. Same goes for the Danish People’s Party. They will try to pull every political act in favour of their political agenda, but that’s usually it - meaning discrimination and limitations would be the most likely result for foreigners. That being said, every country has bad seeds on both sides of the political spectre. Denmark is generally safe, and when that particular party is in government (as they have been before) or not, does not really, in my opinion, affect the overall safety for foreigners.

Is Jordan a safe country to live and work in today?

Jordan is safe and stable and has a long history of being so, I think the reason is that there is no separation here, people here believe they should be united, everything unite us here, it's true that we have a tiny (short period) history of being separated to people from the west and east of Jordan river but that has been settled in 1970s, other than that memory Jordan was always safe.Jordan now is united more than anytime before, and people from the west and the east of the river realised that they are one family, because they actually are, we have a lot of common roots when we look to our origins.I also think that Jordan is safe because it has no enemy and it has strong allies, Jordan is a good friend to Gulf countries which will never hesitate to help her in any unpleasant situation, because Jordan did that many times with Gulf and Arab countries, also Jordan has very important geographical position that makes thinking about attacking Jordan a hard job because you will not attack a country you will attack the whole region. Inside Jordan is very safe because people care about each other, they feel united, if something tiny happens here all people will know about it through social media and next morning all will talk about it, it really looks like a one big family and this makes me proud that I am in Jordan.I don't think ISIS is a threat here, because they are not expanding anymore, they only  did that in areas that mostly empty, they still find it hard to control new cities, ISIS did very stupid thing when they executed the Jordanian pilot because they lost the very tiny percentage of support here, some people were confused about ISIS here, they didn't know what they are, but after that execution ISIS erased any thoughts of being a friend coming to help, and now Jordan and all Arab countries are stronger than ever facing this group.

Which is the safest & best gulf country for Indians to work?

My ranking of Gulf countries,UAE (only seen Dubai and Abu-Dhabi): Huge Indian Expat community. Whatever state of India, you are from you will be able to connect. You will get enough people from your community. It is perfectly free country, you can live your life in your way nobody will judge (if you are gay or living together with your girl friend just don't say it in public and it will be fine). Your social status will depend on how much does you earn. Saving will be moderate.Oman : If you are Gujrati or Keralite then it is your place. Saving will be lesser than UAE. Plus point you can interact with locals too. Indians are in lot of good positions and respected as like locals.Bahrain: Same as Oman. Points lost due to lack of long term economic prospect.Qatar: Conservative, you will not be able to interact with locals. Economic prospect is good in long term. If you are not getting an opportunity elsewhere right now, come here. Basically trying to be UAE but far behind in infrastructure. Plus point US ally (having a US air force base), overall very stable in internal politics. Saving will be good.Kuwait: If you can't even get an opportunity in Qatar, you may go there. Saving will be good. Locals are too arrogant and conservative.Saudi Arabia: Think before going there. Free advice, don't go.

What is the best third-world country to retire to?

Hi AJ,

I spent a few months in Nicaragua, Panama, and Ecuador among other countries last year. All of these countries are safe, beautiful, and have a lot to offer. All of these countries are also very inexpensive.

Yes, Nicaragua (except Managua) is the safest country in Latin America. One drawback in my mind is that the healthcare system in Nicaragua is not good. Outside of Managua you will not find any hospitals that are up to Western standard. In Panama and Ecuador, however, good healthcare is available in the major cities.

Also, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines are good countries to retire.

And here's one of my favorite, regardless of what everybody else thinks, and that is Colombia. I spent a couple of months in Colombia last year and will go back this August for about 6 months time. Colombia is a very beautiful country, has different climate zones (something for everybody's taste), has the friendliest people in South America, and if you like women, Colombia also has some of the most beautiful women in the world.
Even though you hear bad things about Colombia what safety is concerned, most stories are pretty old, and Colombia has become a relative safe country.

Before you decide where you want to retire you need to spend at least a few weeks in several countries to narrow it down to maybe 2 or 3.

Have a great time.

What are the best countries to work in for Indians?

You can think of Middle East (Kuwait, Dubai, Oman) if you want to save money and transfer it to India. The expenses could be few and saving potential very high. For experienced people, getting a job is quick and easy.If you are an IT professional or Research person, then USA. Even though getting a visa will be difficult, Indians have outperformed in USA and reached great heights. If you plan to emigrate, then Canada is a very good country. If you can also learn French, settling down in Canada becomes easy. You must be prepared to bear with the extreme cold. For engineering professionals, Australia offers great opportunities followed by New Zealand. Many go to these countries to study and settle down permanently.Today, Indians don’t care and are willing to work in any part of the Globe provided the opportunities are good. Best countries depend upon one’s credentials and demand abroad.A word of caution - Never pay money to brokers who promise employment abroad. There are reputed consultants who get paid by clients for sponsoring right candidates. These consultants do not ask you to pay money in advance. At the most, some reputed consultants may ask for fixed one time amount to be paid after you have joined the company abroad and drawn your salary. Deal carefully and don't get cheated.
