Same Message Get Sent Several Times Does Anyone Know Why Member Has Been Removed From The Group

Is it possible that even after leaving a group conversation, a user can read the rest of the conversation that happened between the other members of the group chat?

Everyone got it wrong. The answer is, unfortunately, YES. The person who has left or has been removed from a Facebook group chat can STILL read the whole conversation (ALL conversation prior to leaving the group). This recently happened to us and it’s frustrating that Facebook doesn’t have any answer/resolution to this.Even if ALL the members of the group chat leave the conversation, the conversation history is still visible to EVERYONE. A member who has been removed or left the group can still find that particular group chat by searching for it on Messenger (both mobile app/desktop) using the group name or by simply searching the name of one of its previous members (it will show up as a suggestion). The only way to make it completely disappear from being searched is to "Delete" the conversation aside from "Leaving" only. However, this will only delete the group chat from the end of the person who has deleted it and NOT from the other person who hasn't deleted it yet. Even the if original group chat creator delete it, it’s still visible to other members. We accidentally added a person in a group chat and removed him afterwards. However, we found out that that person can still read all the past conversions from that group even he didn't engage at all! When you're talking "bad" about someone on a group chat and accidentally added him, removing him won't keep him from seeing all the conversations. It looks like the group conversation is saved permanently. Blocking the person doesn’t make any difference either!

If I remove or ban a member, will yahoo groups automatically notify them?

Yes. If you have an automatic message set to send out to them, they will receive it.

See for a list of those files which are automatically sent from your group.

Whenever you create a text file, or upload a file, with the correct moderator settings, or as group owner, you get the following choices of when to send out the file as an email or post on your group:

Upon pending membership
Upon joining group
Upon leaving group
On rejected membership
Upon being banned from group
Every 2 weeks
Every month

The only other notification they will get is by accessing their own list of groups and find that your group is no longer listed.

Non-text portions of my Yahoo groups email have been removed and I would like to see them?

Either you are getting your mail in Daily Digest, or plain text format, or else your group is not set to allow anything but plain text. Look at the group home page under settings (below the left menu)... if it says that users cannot send attachments, then the group is set on plain text. Otherwise, it is a setting in your mail that you would need to change.

What does it mean when you have bouncing members on Yahoo Groups?

Yahoo! Groups Help says "If messages sent to a member are consistently returned to Yahoo! Groups with an error, that member is considered "bouncing." Their Yahoo! Groups account is deactivated, and group messages will not be delivered to the account.

Once an account is considered bouncing, Yahoo! Groups will send a series of test messages to the member. If the test messages are returned as undeliverable, then the account will continue to bounce. However, if a message is delivered and not returned as undeliverable within five days after it was sent, the account will automatically be reactivated. Members may also manually reactivate their accounts by visiting their My Groups page.

Please note: If Yahoo! Groups determines that an email address has been bouncing for more than 6 months, we may remove it from our system."

Group Emails are delayed ot not received by the members?

Update 4/6

@Nubia - LOL! I wish there were a way to get the headers of messages never received! But note I said "the longest-delayed" messages. Within the Received: fields of the message header are time stamps that may reveal where the delay occurred. This can help distinguish between an issue within Yahoo's servers or one at the members' email service. Levine's mail parser (cited below) will calculate the delays for you.

@Echo - When reports like this are widespread, and especially when they affect multiple receiving services I'd more suspect a problem within Yahoo's outbound farm than with greylisting or similar problems at the hand-off to members' email services.
-----
Yahoo Groups has over six hundred outbound mail servers, sometimes one or more of them go bad and then you get these situations where outbound messages are delayed. Because of the way messages are routed, messages bound for some members can be delayed while other members receive them promptly. This does crop up from time to time, and it usually is temporary (lasting a day or two before Yahoo finds and fixes the faulty server(s).

The best thing to report here would be the name of the group(s) affected. The best thing to report via the Get Help link would be the full headers from some of the longest-delayed messages.

I have a broadcast group of 104 members in WhatsApp. When I send a broadcast message, some members get the message while some don't. Why aren't the messages delivered to all?

Yeah i got your point. But yes your message is sent by WhatsApp to all the members in your broadcast list. The problem is that they are not receiving it.I will explain in detail.WhatsApp has a feature that if someone don't save your contact then that person will not receive your broadcast messages.Suppose i don't have your contact and im in your broadcast list. So when you will send any message to broadcast list, it will be received by all others but not me, coz as i said i don't have your contact. So first of all ask all your students to save your number so that they can receive notes sent by you.Enjoy..

If I re-add someone on a whatsapp group..can he read the previous messages?

Hi there.Let's take the below scenario:Ram : hi allTom : I'm leaving the group.Tom : bye‘Tom Left’Ricky : hey manRicky : why did Tom leave the group?Ricky : Ram, add him back.‘Ram added Tom’Ram : he was just playing around.Tom : Yeah. :PIn this scenario, Tom can read the messaged of Ram, but not of Ricky. He can see what was there when he was in the group. Not what was there when he wasn't.Telegram has that feature. Anyone new to the group can read the entire chat history.Happy texting.DC
