SAT/ACT Scores through uc app or through collegeboard?
UCs still accept December SAT and ACT tests. No rush delivery is needed. Just leave the planned dates on your application and send your scores after you take your Dec. exams. Your sat scores must be sent from collegeboard even though you wrote them down on your application. The score reports are to verify your application scores. Yes, it's a hassle, but it needs to be done. Also take note that you DO NOT have to send your sat scores to each UC's. I am correcting the person above me. Just choose any one UC and your scores would automatically be sent to the rest of the UCs. Save your money. =] For CSUs, you do the same thing as UCs. The only think you need to worry about is that certain schools like San Jose State University does not accept December scores. You may need to look up the other schools. SAT/ACT score for college/UC?
SAT/ACT score for college/UC Hi my GPA (10-12) is 3.98 but my highest sat score right now is 1370 and I know that is really bad so I will try to take ACT this Saturday. So now here are some questions: UC app says "If you have taken a test more than once, record your highest overall score." What is that mean? (BTW I took 2 times) I put highest score in each section (The 1st one that I took, the writing score is more than the 2nd) or I put the my highest SAT score. 1) With my GPA 3.98 and SAT: 1370 will I able to get into UC Irvine and Cal State Long Beach/Fullerton. Do you know anyone with that SAT score that get into UCI 2) Do you when to send your sat/act score to UC Irvine and Cal State Long Beach/Fullerton. 3) And last can I send my SAT score late - meaning can UC receive my SAT/ACT score after the deadline THANK YOU

I do know that if you send your SAT scores to one UC, all of them get it, but is this the same for the ACT scores as well?Im low income so the more money i save, the better.
Do UC’s consider good SAT essay scores when you're overall SAT is lower?
Unfortunately your SAT essay score is not that significant. Without specific numbers it’s hard to say, but in general, the essay doesn’t count all that much. The scoring is a bit arbitrary, it’s a timed test after 3.5 hours of multiple choice, it’s only one type of writing, and the markers don’t spend much time on each essay, so overall it’s not that reliable and therefore matters little to most schools.
