School Volunteer Interview Questions

School Newspaper Interview Questions?

This is awesome because I am doing the same article for my school paper right now. I interviewed sponsers and presidents of the major clubs. I asked basic questions: what are their plans? how did they find this organization? how is it going for them? or if they are going somewhere (like my french club is going to Busch gardens...) then questions revolving around that. Have they done this before, or is this fundraiser something new? Is it only through the holidays or all through winter (for people collecting coats and what not) hopefully I helped fuel something.

What questions do they ask in an interview for hospital volunteer?

How did you find out about our organization?Have you volunteered anywhere before? For how long? What did you like or dislike about it?What are some of your talents, interests and skills?Do you enjoy working with people in groups or do you like working alone? Are you self-motivated or do you like direction?

Hospital Volunteer Questions!?

I'm currently a Sophomore in High school and i have the opportunity to volunteer at a hospital. I have a couple questions about it.

1) what should i wear? I heard you move around alot, should i wear jeans, shorts, khakis?
2)what kind of test do i have to take (drug test, TB test..)?
3)what stuff do i do?
4)Is it worth it? does it benefit for college, university?
5)is it a good learning experience?

thank you for your time.

How should I dress for a hospital volunteer interview?

As a general rule, jeans are NOT considered interview attire. Make a small investment in a blouse and pair of black dress pants or a skirt.

1. White Blouse (as little as $10 at Walmart)
2. Black dress pants or skirt (as little as $10 at Walmart)
3. Closed toe flats or low heel pumps
4. Nude or tan sheer hose
5. Covered tattoes and removed piercings
6. Minimum jewelry and or perfume.

You are ready to go for a formal event in 6 steps and for $20 and it's something you can wear to school.

Red Cross Volunteer Interview?

Why do you want to volunteer with the Red Cross?
What times of day, and which days, are you available to volunteer?
What kinds of tasks are you hoping to do?
What kinds of tasks do you not like to do?
What might prevent you from being able to fulfill a volunteer commitment?
What training are you most interested in?

What questions are asked in college interviews?

I am an alumni interviewer for MIT. A good question for an interview shows that the person has put thought into imagining themselves at the college, and thinking what it would be like. A good question is written down in advance. One student had a few sheets of note paper out during our interview. She took occasional notes. At the end, she pulled down the bottom sheet on which she had written her questions. One of the questions we had already covered during the interview; she asked the other two. It's good to ask a question that the interviewer can answer; now is not the time to play stump the chumps. Nobody cares how many books the library has. It's good to ask questions about the college experience that would be relevant to you. If you are thinking about doing theater in college, ask about student performances your interviewer remembers. If you want to become a startup entrepreneur, ask what your interviewer thinks would be helpful courses to take or resources to take advantage of. Your interviewer knows what the culture at the college feels like; you do not. Ask questions to help you understand what that culture is, and how you might fit in. Thanks for asking this question, and good luck!

Is there a template for volunteer interviews?

No. How you interview a volunteer depends on what the volunteer will be doing, how much training the volunteer will need for the task at hand, how much supervision the volunteer will have, how much the volunteer will work with other volunteers and employees, particularly in unsupervised settings, etc. Also, if the volunteer will be communicating a lot as a part of his or her assignment, you will want to ask questions that allow you to see how well the candidate communicates. If you go to Google and type in questions for a volunteer interviewYou will get some ideas. For sure, ask how the person heard about the organization and its work, heard about volunteering, why he or she wants to volunteer, what he or she expects from the volunteering experience, etc.

Interview for volunteering at a hospital? Help?

Every time I'm going through some type of interview, I always noticed how the interviewer asks me "Tell me a little about yourself? Why would you like to volunteer at this hospital? What made you interested in volunteering in this department?"

How in the world am I supposed to answer to this?! Every time I hear this question my mind goes automatically blank and I have no idea what to say. Can anyone give me a few ideas on what to say, since my mind always gets blank when it comes to these questions and I get really nervous!?!?

What to expect from hospital volunteer interview?

I am volunteering at a hospital which consists of either doing clerical work or cleaning up around the hospital. It's only for the summer and its positions open to people from age 16-24 so there is no patient contact. However, I don't know what to expect. I know I will be interviewed by the supervisor, but all I was told to do was bring my application.

What type of questions should I expect?
How should I dress?
How should I not answer to these questions?

Thank you! The help is much appreciated!
If it's any help I'll be volunteering for an hhc hospital. http://www.nyc.gov/html/hhc/html/contact/Volunteering.shtml
