I have been searching everywhere for a book called 1,000,000 and can't find that it exists. Am I going crazy or does the book actually exist? Did I get the title wrong?
OK, the bad news is that searching for a book based on your recollection of the colour of cover is probably not going to work. If I had a dollar for every library user who would be certain that the book that they had last week had a red cover, only to have it turn out to be green, I would have retired long ago. And the number may be the number of copies sold. So what other clues do you have? You can search the NPR reviews by date: can you recall (even roughly) when you read the review? Anything else that you can recall?Failing that, I would suggest going over to https://www.librarything.comand ask on the forums: someone there may be able to help you.

Hello, I am searching and searching for an old Chilrdren's book about a pony/horse I think was named Toby? It was my dad's book... he was born in 1960. It is an old book. And I remember it being very small.. a miniature little cardboard book? I am hazy on remembering the details. I just know it had a darker horse on the cover. I would love to find the book but so far after looking through website after website haven't found anything!! Help!! Also, my dad was born in England, so possibly could've been a book from there? So what he's searching for on a ship is that same thing that ancient Romans sought by throwing himself upon his sword. Also note "pistol and ball."
