Nerve pain

I'm not pregnant but I'm feeling a sharp pain in my uterus area, what could it be?

It could be something bad, like cancer, or you could have polycystic ovarian disease, also referred to as PCOS, which is a hormonal disorder that causes your ovaries to be covered in little cysts. These cysts can pop and be extremely painful. Another unfortunate side effect of PCOS is acne and darker, thicker facial hair, especially on lip and chin, which sadly gets worse as you grow older. PCOS can also make it VERY difficult to get pregnant and give you unreliable periods. You definitely need to see a Gynecology Doctor. They will likely perform an ultrasound and do a Pap smear. I learned I had it when I was 17, when I would ride my bike and hit a bumb, I would feel a great surge of pain in my lower abdomen. On another note, when I was older, it hurt greatly to have sex, I went to a Doctor who saw nothing abnormal with a look inside ( if you know what I mean, same way they do the Pap smear) so they did an ultrasound and found my left ovary was laying right on top of my uterus!! I asked what we could do about it and the Doctor said, “well, nothing, unfortunately. But don't worry, eventually it will move back to someplace less painful where it is not being squashed during sex.” Luckly, he was correct and it didn't take long. If you are sexually active, even if your mate swears he is true, you could have an STD like PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease,) which has been known to occur in teens who have never been sexually active too. That would also cause the same pain, and is easily treatable. Still, you will never know what it could be without seeing a Gynecologist. A male or female, which ever you are more comfortable seeing. The best I ever saw was a male Gynecologist.*Thank you, Peter Y Cho, for grammar edit!! I ALWAYS forget to read what I have written for myself to check grammar, wording and capitalizations.*

Why is there a sharp pain in my temple when I swallow?

That's caused by tight muscles in your neck. One muscle pulls against another until one has no give and then you get pain where it's attached to the skull. Your neck muscles go to the top of your head for it's movements to make the rest possible. Here's how to free up the muscles in your neck:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about two minutes, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

When drinking or eating something sour, once in a while, the area of my jaws closest to my ear stings for a few seconds. Not chronic pain, but has happened all my life. Can someone explain what this is?

There are six salivary glands: a pair under the tongue (glandula sublingualis), left and right under the jaw (glandula submandibularis) and left and right under the ears (glandula parotis). When starting to eat or sometimes even thinking about eating (e.g. thinking of biting a lemon) these glands produce saliva to make digesting food easier. Some people feel the glands at that point produce saliva.  You apparently feel the glandula parotis do its work.Sometimes though little stones block the duct of the gland causing inflammation, swelling and pain, but inflammation can occur of its own. When there is pain and/or swelling go to a doctor.

Sharp back pain when i yawn?

It's possible that if you have bad posture and tight back mucsles that when you inhale you are pulling on the areas of tension since your diaphragm is expanding. Try doing some stretching, yoga, and self massage of the area (use a tennis ball and lie on top on it to get to deep back muscle) and see if it helps. A warm bath and sleeping with a pillow under your knees (on your back) or btw your legs (side sleeping) to keep your body aligned at night. Try to break a work to stretch too!

Sharp pain under left side of tongue?

See your health care provider as soon as possible (primary care doctor or dentist), for consultation. Though often hailed as "the strongest muscle in the body," the tongue is actually made up of a group of muscles that allow us to taste food, swallow, and talk. A healthy tongue is pink and covered with small nodules called papillae. Enlarged papillae. If one or more of your taste buds becomes inflamed or irritated, it can swell and form a painful bump on your tongue.
Trauma. Accidentally biting your tongue or scalding it on something straight out of the oven can result in a sore tongue until the damage heals. Grinding or clenching the teeth can also irritate the sides of the tongue and cause it to become painful.

In some instances, however, a discolored or painful tongue can indicate more serious conditions, including vitamin deficiencies, AIDS, or oral cancer. For this reason, it is important to seek medical advice if you experience any ongoing problems with your tongue.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.
