Shootibg Pain From Chest To Shoulder

HELP!!! sharp pain in left shoulder blade that shoots pain through chest!?

I have had this happen twice the last time I went to the hospital they said it wasnt a heart attack but needed to get rid of stress before it was one I told them with 6 daughters (5 teenagers) and a husband and a family business I dont think that could happen any way so this time I didnt go

but this is what happens: it feels like something shoots from my shoulder blade through my heart it almost feels like my heart explodes and in that instant it take my breath and I cant breathe without MAJOR PAIN for two to three days after I feel complete wore out and when I breathe in to hard it causes great pain and the same pain and shortness of breathe happens when I lay on my back......it always happens in my left side and feels almost like someone stabbed me and left the the knife in my back and its pushing out my chest......I also get a lot of numbness in my left leg and arm the numbness will happen when Im walking or sitting and sometimes feels like an Electric jolt goes down my left leg

anyway any thoughts would be great as I cant afford to run to the hospital or dr for every little pain or weird feeling

I might also add that I do have High blood pressure & asthma

My shoulder has a shooting pain off and on?

Sharp, Shooting, Numb, tingly. These are all associated with NERVE pains. Your nerves are responsible for carrying information to and form places throughout the body. When the nerve pathways get impinged, like kinking a garden hose, the above symptoms take place. Not all symptoms are present everytime, this could be sharp one day, numb the next, shooting the next, it can also be a combination of all.

Thoracic Outlet Syndrome(TOC) which presents similar signs and symptoms of carpel tunnel syndrome, generally takes places around the shoulder joint. This causes sharp shooting pains down the arm. Depending on how many nerves in the arm are affected, anywhere from a finger to several fingers, to the entire arm from the shoulder to the hand can go numb. The Shooting pain can sometimes go into the neck, towards the head as well.

If you go to a Chiroprator they should be able to diagnose you with it, and give you some treatment.

A properly trained Massage therapist will not be able to diagnose you, but may become your biggest asset as far as getting back on track. Use them more regularly in the beginning and then taper off to at least once a month.

You will then need to stretch routinely to help keep the shoulder loose and the nerve pathways open.

After getting back on track you should do some strenth and conditioning excersises to help strenthen the muscles around the shoulder and neck.

Good Luck!!!

What would be the cause of shooting pain through your chest/shoulder blade?

It comes and goes very often, i get a very intense shooting pain through my chest, either side or both at the same time, as well as my mid-upper back and shoulder blades. It hurts to move, breathe, bend over, anything. I want to schedule an appointment but i want to know what i should get tested for, and not just another go in "idk" leave. Doc said he doesnt think its heart disease as im young and tests are oka, but never got tested for lupus.

What are some issues that can cause arm, chest, and shoulder pain that’s not cardiovascular?

Chest Pain: Costochondritis; inflammation of cartilage near Chest. Typically hurts when rising arms above head, doing physical work, lifting heavy bags or when doing anything that puts pressure on Chest area. Sometimes pain when moving from laying down to upright position.Chest Pain: Muscle Soreness: For example, doing hundreds of Push-Ups per day, can certainly cause chest tightness/soreness, as can other Chest workouts.Arm & Shoulder Pain: Joint Swelling, for shoulders more so, and elbows, these are things you should talk to a Doctor about. Depends on WHERE the Pain is, is it in the Bicep, forearm, or in the bones? Does it feel like a nerve (shocking pain) or some soreness that happens when using the muscles? That will help distinguish what is causing it.Depending on what the CAUSE is - the issue will be treated VERY differently. Some things you can do in the meantime.Make sure you are taking a quality multi-vitamin.Supplement with Bone Broth for good skin, joint and muscle protection.Supplement with a good Joint formula if you are getting up there in Age.Rest in the evening time if necessary.Get plenty of sleep at night!~Dan Gregory of Area-1255 Health/Science Blog: www.area1255.blogspot.com

I have deep pain on the left side of my chest and shoulder when I breathe, Burp or yawn...?

Well, heart attack comes to mind.

So, however, does stress-related muscle tightening. If you ever go to a chiropractor, you might want to go now. If you have never gone, ask a friend for a recommendation, and if you have health insurance, check if they cover chiropractors, and also whether the chiropractor takes your insurance.

I have indeed had "muscles so tight it hurt in a deep layer to breathe in all the way," and one shoulder was tightened down, and my head was a little to one side, and so tight that my jaw and neck were sore. If the jaw could be that sort of soreness, you can probably see a chiro tomorrow or Saturday.

Pain that wraps around chest and shoulder blades ?

Yesterday morning I went to work in the morning and got this small numb/burning pain (like what it feels like when you put icy hot on your skin) on my right shoulder blade, I was expecting some kind of rash when I looked in the mirror, thats what it felt like, but nothing.
Within 5 hours the pain had expanded and began to wrap around my right side to under my armpit.
Before the end of the night the pain had also taken over my right breast. So it was wrapped the whole way around my right side..

I went to bed and woke up with the same area feeling twice as bad.
Within 2 hours the pain had began moving from my right breast and wrapped around my left breast, side, and shoulder blade.

Now the pain wraps the whole way around. When I lay down the side I lie on hurts and the rest is just that constant burning sensation. If im sitting its still a whole constant pain, but worse and I get sharp pains that shoot through those areas. Standings worse yet (and thats all I do on my job). Any movement hurts.

I also get these chills, that follow with really sharp shooting pains.

If you even slightly touch those areas, it hurts. If you try rubbing something on it, forget it! I cant even wear a bra! It hurts bad. When I'm cold its twice as bad. I have not done absolutely anything strenuous, I havnt even worked out for over a week.

Everyone I've talked to says it sounds like I've pulled a muscle, Any ideas?
If it is a pulled muscle, I've never had one before, how long will this last and what should I do?
Has this happened to anyone else?

Should I see a doctor? I really don't want to go for a few days to see if this just goes away. A trip to the ER is a waist of atleast 6 hours and way too much money around here just for the doctors to tell me I got growing pains (what they've told me before after going for having serious back pains for over a week, a few years ago)

Im a 19 year old female, if it matters. Not over weight, not under. Normally healthy.

Pain in right side of cheat and shoulder, numb right arm?

I am a 39 year old while female and I normally get broncitis every year and so I am familiar with the chest pain that comes with it but I have off and on the past few weeks had a more intense pain in the ride side of my chest, shooting pain from there up to my shoulder and also a numbness in my right arm. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to what it might be. Had a few tests at the ER a few weeks ago and they said everything was fine so it isn't my heart but I don't know what else it could be and they didn't know either...any ideas would be greatly appreciated...thanks.

Whenever I eat grapes,I get shooting pains through my chest and abdomen. What causes this??

The question is do you eat grapes at mealtimes, because if you do that is the problem. Grapes do not mix well with other foods and should be consumed in between meals without any other foods to avoid the incompatibility problems that can give you stomach cramps and heartburn. The same applies to bananas and lemons.

Bananas, lemons and grapes are ideal, perfect and excellent snacks in between meals but don't eat them at mealtimes with other foods.
