Should A Thin Person Do Cardio

Im a very thin person but my tummy has bad cellulite. what can i do?

I am 5'3 weigh 105 lbs, I am very active in running and tennis, to me my arms are very skinny and so are my legs but my tummy is where all the fat seems to be stored! It wont go away, My stomach is not really that bulgy but I have really bad and noticeable cellulite. And it seems like the more weight I lose the more it appears? Any suggestions?

Can i get thin and look good with only doing cardio?

Everyone's body works differently. What works for one person may not work for another. That being said, the basics of shedding weight is ensuring that your caloric output (exercise) is greater than input (eating). This doesn't mean that you can stop eating. This will cause your body to store what little foods you eat into fat. Eat well balanced meals and exercise.

My own opinion is that you shouldn't worry about becoming "thin". You can look good AND have strength. Here's a good article for you to read: http://sophieologie.wordpress.com/2013/0...

Is doing HIIT or cardio a strict no-no for skinny-fat people?

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training): it is the best way to lose fat even 48 hours after you completed the session and it is useful to pump the muscle as you would so with weights for a skinni-fat condition. The good thing is that you can squeeze and interval session in your lunch break. The most important advantage is that it speeds up your metabolism so when you finally get to the desired shape, it is a lot easier to maintain it. Must keep up in mind as we are not forever young. Replace the dreadful endless cardio sessions with 25-35 minutes of HIIT to lose more fat than in hours of walking on an inclined treadmill. Forget long cardio sessions as it only gives you that dry, skinny look with no shape. Perform HIIT 1-3 times a week, depending of how much fat you have when you start.Start with 2-3 min warm up, 20-25 min intervals, 2-3 min warm-down (cool-off)Your intervals (the 20-25 mins in the middle) should be:Start with 1:2,3 ration – 1 min of high intensity, 2,3 min of low intensityWhen your fitness level goes up, move on to 1:1 ratio (desirable).Check my website for the full Are you skinny-fat? Does running make a skinny person get skinnier?

Technically speaking, the answer is yes. Running is a very good way to lose calories and burn fats. At one point, muscle mass reduction will start taking place. This will definitely make one look more skinny. Thus a skinny man gets skinnier. However, in practice there is more at play than just that. Diet plays a very important role. Nourishment is a key element in deciding whether a person is lean and fit or just plain skinny and weak. In fact any aerobic activity promotes better blood circulation which indicates better nourishment of the cells provided the body is getting sufficient fuel. Thus if one is skinny it becomes essential to regulate the intake of calories in sync with the aerobic activties performed in order to avoid losing more weight.Professional body builders are very careful when it comes to running or performing any other aerobic exercise for they do not wish to cut their muscle mass down. An overweight person is always directed to perform aerobic activities vigourously while limiting their calorie intake. From this we can establish a direct relationship between running (which is an aerobic exercise) and losing weight. But in my opinion and from my practical experiences, running daily is a good habit and if a balanced diet is maintained an otherwise healthy individual can look lean and fit instead of looking too skinny. And trust me, there comes a point after which it becomes immensely difficult to shed weight any farther provided there is no serious illness in which case a physician needs to be consulted at any cost.

Is it wrong if a thin person does aerobic exercise while trying to gain weight? Which is the most suitable exercise in that case?

For exercise you want to stimulate and stress your muscles and cardiovascular system while maintaining health. This requires eating healthy nutrient dense foods. Body shape is 80% what we put in our bodies.A tall skinny-fit friend of mine made the mistake of too much running without proper heavy lifting and this resulted a some loss of muscle mass. I would say walking, biking, hiking no more then 5 hours total in a week. About 30–45min a day. Then 2 days out of the week hit your big five exercises. Squat, bench press, pull down, row, and overhead shoulder press. The idea behind these compound exercises is that you have less movement with maximum muscle involvement. Proper deep inroads with the tearing of the most muscle fibers with the least wear and tear, but also in the shortest amount of time for proper recruiting of as many muscles fibers as possible.Keep in mind everyone is genetically diverse. What works for one person may not work for all. Your body may recover faster and then you can give yourself 3 days of heavy lifting instead of 2. For others 1 workout session a week is more then enough depending on how many other physical stressors you encounter throughout the week. Also remeber that anything stressing the body will cause muscle growth. However not all growth may be evident on the surface. Your muscles will only growth in size up to your genetic potential, but you will grow stronger without a doubt. For myself I use exercise for maximum health. I do these exercises now so that I can still do them and move and function at 90. If I get more “buff” as a result then why not. But that isn’t the goal. For a more in depth breakdown check out Doug McGuff’s book Body by Science. He brings the science behind the movements and the studies that they did with different intensity exercise under diffenent weights for different times. Also check out Mark Sisson and Primal Fitness.

I'm skinny and want to build muscle. How often should I do cardio?

Think of Cardio and Building Muscle as different animals - you need to treat them differently, and feed them differently. As Anibal Cabral said, if you want to build muscle, don’t do cardio, yet!Cardio burns through a huge amount of energy (from carbs and fats) and would leave little nutrients, if any to help build lean muscle mass.As your are of slim build, you are likely have little excess fat to worry about.Your main concern now will be to eat enough good calories, and get enough nutrition to help build those muscles. In order to build muscle, you’ll need to hit the weights at least 4–5 times per week, of which I recommend you concentrate on ‘Compound Exercises’ in order to work the largest muscle groups and recruit the most muscle fibre.Read this answer I wrote about building a strong ripped physique ..David Gordon's answer to What type of exercises can give you a strong ripped physique? That answer details the types of exercises you should concentrate on.Each workout should last no more than around 45 minutes, otherwise you are just doing too much.Make sure you get plenty of rest periods too. Rest and good quality sleep is just as important as the workout itself.Without adequate nutrition, you’ll never build any reasonable muscle size.Try to eat at least 1g of protein per pound of body weight per day, in addition to only good quality carbs. If you start putting on some weight from the additional calories, then you can add back some cardio such as HIIT workouts to balance out.Hope this helps.

Should a skinny fat person lose fat first, or lose fat and build muscles at the same time?

A person is Skinny-Fat if he has less muscle and high percentage of belly fat.An ectomorph has a thin skeleton frame and genetically are weaker when it comes to building muscle.I was a typically example of a Skinny-Fat personAlthough I had decent muscle mass, but when it came to fat, genetically all my fat cells are located in my abdomen area.I hardly ever gain fat on my legs or hand.Just on my face and belly.I made many Skinny-Fat mistakes along the way and wasted many years as a results. However, I endured and learned smarter and better ways to deal with this Skinny-Fat Condition.Does that mean Skinny-Fat is a condition?Far from it. There is nothing wrong with you, its just a body type. Most Skinny-Fat guys/gals are naturally thin i.e. ectomporphs. They have thin and long necksNarrow shoulders, small head and chest.Longer hands and legs in relation to their torso’s.They have weak genetics when it comes to building muscle and since most of their fat cells are located in their abdomen region.Thats why even at relatively less weight, they have a belly. In the picture, I was not obese, but just overweight according to the BMI scale. In the after picture, I used the principles and step-by-step phasal system that allowed me to lose belly fat and face fat.The after picture is my recent picture and after many years I am still maintaining 10% body fat.If you are Skinny-Fat I highly urge you to look at LEAN-The Ultimate Skinny-Fat Solution to transform yourself in the most effective manner possible.
