Should Harry Reid Have Cliven Bundy And His Family Shot

Who are some liberal Quorans from every state?

I suppose I'm a bit of an interesting case. I'm a regular fixture at all 3 of Tufts big political clubs; I'm executive board adjacent in the Tufts Republicans (I lost by two votes), attended every Tufts Democrats meeting up until this semester (but, unfortunately have a class at the same time now), and I'm a pretty consistent presence at Civic, our multipartisan discussion club.My actual political leaning are no less conflicted than my club memberships. If I could tear down the world and build it anew, I would be a left libertarian, but I also realize that's not realistic, and am left trying to balance my severe distrust of the government with my belief that the “almighty free market” is far more likely to massively screw people over.Ultimately, I'm a Connecticut Democrat who frequently agrees with libertarians on social issues (my main refrain in debates on social issues being: “Why the hell does it matter to you who's fucking whom with what, or what they're getting high on after?”) but breaks with them on Net Neutrality, NASA and Economics. I tend to break with certain parts of the democrats(the crunchy granola faction specifically). I think GMOs are wonderful, organic is bullshit, and cybernetics are going to be great.I like to believe my views are driven by data, and thus subject to change if I'm presented with “better” data. Right now, the data supports many of planks of the democrat platform, and despite my weekly attendance at Tufts Republicans, I've yet to be shown anything more convincing. But I'm subject to the same bias and blind spots as any other person, but try to counter them by leaving my bubble (hence my attendance at Tufts Republicans)So, I'm a liberal, but one who really doesn't like the federal government, but figures it's probably our best bet to keep too many people from getting screwed.

How does the Tea Party fight against the threat of America turning into a police state?

By standing up for only their own interests and the interests of people like them. Cliven Bundy who used public land and refused to pay for it had an armed militia of supporters to protect him from the tyranny of paying for what he used. When unarmed Micheal Brown was shot by a police officer who was protected by the force and the district attorneys office, there was no armed tea party militia there to protect the member of the black community in Ferguson. Like many libertarians their claims of everyone paying their own way is based on a system that is already biased in their favor.
