Should I Be Concerned About My Job

Should I be concerned if my new job title changed from manager to senior analyst?

Depends. Job titles vary by organization. One company's accounting specialist is another company's assistant vice president. The things I would be curious about are things like pay grades or pay bands, exempt status (non eligible for overtime pay).If you much around LinkedIn you'll notice that some people use 2 titles to signal the formal title and what it actually means; I do that from time to time to indicate that the "HR Consultant" role really mapped to Senior HR Director. Here's a piece on the subject from my blog that you may find of interest that talks about the issue more fully: [New Rules] The Name Game: What Job Title Should You Ask For?

Should I be concerned that my salary is too high?

One year ago I was in the same situation and the salary offered to me was more than my manager. Soon after joining I figured out I had to work really hard to justify my salary as the company started firing people who were not making any valuable addition to the company. I remember every time when I was called in the cabin I used to think - this is it, I am going to get fired now. I managed to pass 9–10 months by working really hard but after 10 months I realised my life has become hell and no amount of money can justify my situation. I stopped giving a fuck since jan of this year, in march they asked me to leave and I left happily. I have an offer from a much better company and the hike is also good plus all of my peer are having equivalent salary (according to glassdoor). I would suggest if its a small company then don’t join. Sometimes companies have urgent requirement and they give anything to get the job done but after the work is done they just need a single reason to fire you. If its a large organisation having proper process then you can join the company.

If I was around Marijuana but didn't smoke should I be concerned for my job drug test?

First, let's answer your question.
If you did not inhale the doobage, you have nothing to worry about. In order for the pot to show up in your pee test, you must have had inhaled it into your lungs in order for it to enter your system. Breathing in a room that has smoke in it will not show up in your test.

Now...
If you are so concerned about this, why are you hanging around people that smoke pot?
In your life, the decisions you make will reflect on how potential employers view you.

My job constantly calls me on my days off!?

The more reliable employees in jobs like that get abused. It's not going to get better. My advice is to start looking elsewhere, and once you find a better job where you don't have to show up on-demand you can tell them where they can stick their "on call" requirement.

Should I be worried about my job as a developer?

They want to move on to new technology and its nothing personal; even a few years ago cloud computing was too expensive, but its now cheaper and pretty much a no-brainer. Its now possible for a two man startup to look like a massive company because all their back end infrastructure is pay-on-demand cloud services, and even large companys are using it simply because it scales so well.Start learning it so you are ready for it; its not that different from what you are used to... and its pretty much inevitable whatever you end up doing.

I left my job but still receive letters from them about health coverage/plans, is this something to be concerned about?

So I worked as a laborer for a plumbers union about 6 months ago. Although I worked for the union, I was not IN the union as I was simply just a helper. I was let go from the job due to the lack of work and now I joined the military, but I still receive letters all the time regarding my health coverage and such. I’m concerned that this will somehow bite me in the butt with me leaving for the military (possibly owing them money). Is this anything to be worried about? Or am I good?

Why am I always worried about my job?

I don’t know. Possible reasons could include:insecurities about your abilitiesinsecurities about being able to find a new job (before the money runs out), should you lose your current oneno financial safety net (savings to live off of, should you become unemployed)over extended debt obligationsfinancial instability of your employer

My dad quit his job? What should I do?

go and talk to your father about his financial state and whether he has money or not.
if he says every thing all right son, then there is no worry.

Should I tell my employer that I am worried about my job security?

A job is unsecured only when your performance do not qualify the required standards. So without complaining to the employer try to perform at the required standard.
