Should I Be Specific About A Position Field I Want Or Would That Ruin My Chance

Will a low GPA ruin my chance at a Google internship? As a freshman, I applied to Google for a summer internship. They asked for my grades. I got a 3.27 GPA, but I got an A- in CS 1, but I have an android app published and worked at a tech startup.

Asking for grades is standard. Just one semester does not provide great insight about your future GPA. I would probably emphasize the CS specific grades, along with the overall GPA (the "which a lot of people struggled with" part is irrelevant). In my opinion, if you have CS-related achievements, these can get you an interview regardless of your GPA (extra-curricular activities can often be more meaningful than grades). So, describe your work in your last internship and any metrics on improvements you did (e.g. made a component xx% faster), and your android app: technologies, challenges, number of users (if relevant), etc.Show your passion for computer science and be objective whenever possible. There are several related questions already on Quora, e.g.Should I still apply for a Google internship with a 2.6 GPA?What minimum GPA one should maintain to get an internship at top notch companies like Google, Facebook, Apple?

Will being a suicide girl ruin my chance at a career in the future?

I would not do anything that could be perceived as porn by potential employers, especially since you are studying to work in the law enforcement field. If you think that this modeling agency shows a little too much skin, or is morrally questionable you shouldn't do it. Ask your mom or grandma's opinion about the site and they will likely give you an honest answer about how a potential employer would view that job.

Will a forearm tattoo ruin my chances of getting a job?

No. It's 2013 m8, tattoos aren't really taboo anymore. I have a lot of arm tattoos (from my army days I s'pose) and it hasn't prevented me from getting a job :/

The idea of judging someone's worth as an employee based solely on markings on their skin... Idk, it just seems really antiquated to me. I can't logically see any reason why tattoos 'reflect badly' on a company

I also don't understand the whole 'what happens when your skin sags' argument. Why would I care about my appearance when I'm 80 years old? Statistically, 50% of Americans/Canadians my age have at least one tattoo, so by the time I'm a senior, it will be commonplace. People should just pull the stick out of their a** and relax about this sort of thing.

My life is some what ruined......my first felony?

iam 21 years old and this is my first charged and its a felony and i'am currently in school and would like to major in pharmacy but i would like to know if i would still be able to major in pharmacy with the felony because the charge that i have is not drug related it was a big mistake

Why do people say tattoo will effect your chances of getting a job?

It is a job killer.

About the only tattoos that are "ok" are those affiliated with military service. Otherwise, people will see you as being "impulse" or someone that merely follows the crowed.

Trust me on this one thing. You may think that you will spend the rest of your life in one job field, but that rarely happens anymore. I had a friend that built his own business selling "pagers" (remember those things?). When that went by the wayside, he was able to start a new business in cell phones...but the big cell phone companies basically cut him out...so he went into selling prepaid long distance to individuals and businesses. Now, most major phone companies offer unlimited long distance at a monthly fixed price, so that ruined that buiness for him. Now, he sells life insurance (a major occupation change).

Maybe the big boss takes a real liking to you and he/she invites you to go yachting with his family one weekend. Everyone is wearing shorts and short sleeves...and what are you going to do? They will take one good look at your tattoo and give you some pirate nickname. When you get back to work on Monday, they'll tell you that they now have oneone else in mind for the big promotion.

Is getting CCNA certificate enough to get my first job?

First of all having 1000 certifications will never land you a job, whatever domain it may be. What you need is quality WORKING experience. And while talking about CCNA, as a certified guy I can tell you that its a clear ‘NO’ its not enough to get a job. The certificate is just a piece of paper if you don’t know the things. Just ask yourself. I’m not discouraging you dear, just saying the fact. Yeah reality sucks. There are tons of guys out there with CCNA, CCNP, RHCE and other XYZs.So my advice here is to take up any IT related jobs say, helpdesk, System Admin, or Hardware technician or whatever. Or if you are lucky you will get a job as network technician, but still you won’t be able to do configurations and all. Because companies won’t let noobs like us to touch their network because if you accidently turn some configurations go wrong then that will affect their entire system. So be cautious while playing with networks. So what I’m trying to say is take up any IT jobs and don’t wait for core networking jobs. And while you are working learn as much as possible, learn everything you can. I think its better learn some operating systems , I would recommend Ubuntu or any other Linux Distro. Learning linux is an assest these days. A quick info out of worlds 500 supercomputers 498 of them are up on Linux , So what are you waiting for??Tianhe 2 world’s fastest super computer, which is on Kylin Ubuntu, Dont think I’m going off-topic, I’m just trying to motivate you :)Here I have some more information regarding CCNA exam and its preprations please have a look : What is the best way to ace the CCNA test?ALL THE BEST,Namaste.
