Should I Be Taking My Temp Everyday

Im pregnant and my temp stays at 98.6-99.8 everyday is this normal in early pregancy?

98.6 is the average for most people but not the golden rule! If you run closer to 99.....even 99.8 don't be alarmed. There is an explaination for this. Your body is going through alot of changes right now, one of those changes is an increased metabolism. This will increase your temp. slightly. Another reason is hormonal shifts in the body, and carring the extra body weight of the unborn child, especially ALL the WATER our bodies tend to retain during pregnancy!!!
If you ever experience the following warning signs, seek medical advice immediatley!! ~
~*~*~*~*Warning signs to remember~*~*~*~*
*Lack of kicking. After the 25th week of pregnancy, you should feel your baby kick at least four times over a one-hour period. If your baby ever seems unusually still, you may want to eat something and lie quietly on your side, paying close attention to your baby's movements.
•Vaginal discharge, itching, genital sores, or warts. These could be signs of a treatable vaginal infection.
•Severe headache or blurry vision. This could be a sign of high blood pressure or preeclampsia.
•Fever over 101 degrees Fahrenheit. A high temperature, especially with chills or fever, can be a sign of an infection.
•Severe nausea or vomiting. These symptoms can also be a sign of preeclampsia. Vomiting can also lead to dehydration.
•Burning sensation or pain when urinating. These are possible signs of a bladder infection, which can lead to premature labor. Urinating smaller amounts than usual is also a warning sign that something may be wrong.
•Constant, severe headache.
•Any blow or injury to your lower abdomen, with or without pain.
All warning sigs from a web site , that and other ones I thought might be helpful are listed under "SOURCES"

Please keep all pre-natal appointments, as they can oten detect problems long before they occur, and take prenatal vitamins (more important that MANY think!!)

GOOD LUCK

Do I have to take my temperature exactly at the same time every morning using Lady Comp?

It will work best that way. Try it for a few days to see how inaccurate it is; take it at 7, then 8 then 9. You will probably see several tenths difference, which masks a thermal shift. As you move about, you heat up. If you sleep in and temp just as you awake, your readings will be more accurate. For best results, set the alarm clock and take it at the same time. Go back to sleep if you want. You only need to do this for a week before your thermal shift and a few days after it. Look for your mucus patch starting and that’s when you need to be accurate. After you’re in phase 3 infertility, it doesn’t matter anymore.

I am getting afternoon low grade fever everyday. What can be reason?

Everybody get slight fever in the afternoon because it is natural cycle of internal thermostat.Your normal body temperature varies throughout the day according to circadian rhythm — it's lower in the morning and higher in the late afternoon and evening. There is decrease in the secretion of cortisol in the evening, so there is increase in the temperature. But a low grade fever with tiredness, fatigue, lethargy, can be due to bacterial infection especially tuberculosis. The lower respiratory tract infections are associated with evening rise in temperature. So the most likely cause is bacterial infection. As you have no other symptom,it is difficult to make the diagnosis without tests. You need complete blood Count,ESR,urine Routine, testing for tuberculosis to rule out these causes or any underlying condition.Exact diagnosis can only be made after physical examination. So I advice you to make an appointment with your doctor for these tests to know the exact cause & treat accordingly. Please feel free to ask if you have any other question.

Body Temperature is 96.1-96.3 - Is This of Concern?

I've taken my temperature a dozen times with two different thermometers and they both read between 96.1 and 96.3 F. Is this of concern? I read that a low temperature can suggests some sort of infection. I have flu like symptoms - achy body, horrible, horrrible headache, etc...

What causes temperature to change daily during each season?

Temperatures change daily due to many reasons. Obviously, the location of the sun and how much sunlight (which changes due to the rotation and tilt of Earth) is received affects temperature levels, but day-to-day it shows very little change. A variable that has a larger impact on the changing temperature are winds and other weather related phenomena. Depending on the wind’s direction, the temperature may show various results. In general, winds that are from large bodies of water bring cooler temperatures. Lastly, the absence or abundance of clouds can also affect day to day temperatures as it blocks sun rays coming to Earth.

Is it normal to have a 35.9 C body temperature in the morning after a long night sleeping?

It’s within the normal spectra depending on how you measure it with regards to when you’ve measured it.(Sorry for the childish picture, but it was the only one I could find with celcius). And as for the picture above, it has only taken into consider how old you are and where you measure it. Next step in consideration is when you measure it.As the chart above portraits it varys about 1ºC through the day, where the lower extreme is around 06:00 in the morning and the highest peak around 20:00 in the evening (this can have individual variations depending on sleep pattern). So if you’re between 11–65 years of age and measure your temperature through the ear at around 07:00 in the morning – it seems to be all in order.

Basal Body Tempurature?

I've been charting for roughly 2 years. Congrats on taking the step. It's a big nuisance at first -- okay, always -- but it's the one thing that eventually got us pregnant. (And it's fun to look at how bad my first cycles are and see how good they are now. I'm sooo much healthier!)

A .1 degree increase occurs for every 1/2 hour difference there is in the time you take it. The change in your temps is WAY to dramatic to write off to sleeping in.

Because you're just starting to chart, I'd recommend a couple things:

1. If you don't have it, get the book I listed below. Virtually every charting question will be answered there. Like how to still make accurate charts on the days you sleep in.
2. Chart everything. I mean, you'll still need to do the math to figure out what time your temperature roughly WOULD have been at 6:15 in the morning on the day you slept in... but chart everything. Be serious about it, and the rewards will be there.
3. Compare your charts. There IS a "healthy" chart. The ways that your chart will differ from the "healthy" chart can be indicative of problems. Of course, there are healthy variations. But there's also a typical pattern for early miscarriages, for hypothyroidism, for late ovulation, etc.

Good luck! GET THE BOOK!
