Should I Cut And Dye My Hair

How should I cut/dye my hair? (pics)?

Any suggestions on what kind of haircut/color would look good on me? Pictures would be great so I have something to show the stylist! Nothing too extreme though, my job won't let me have weird colors in my hair.

Here's a pic of me:

How should i cut and dye my hair?

I am sooo bored of my hair.
It goes to my lower back right now..
Should i cut it into a lob? to my chest?
or should i just dye it ( i was thinking dark brown, auburn, or black)

How soon after a hair cut can i dye my hair?

that has nothing to do with the haircut... it was because your ends were very porous and when they are, they absorb more pigment i suggest you to apply the hair color on the ends at last 10 minutes before you have to wash it all out

or you can just tell your stylist to cut all the porosity out

What should i do first (cut my hair or dye it)?

I don't know what's the best thing to do ,
the thing is i want to dye my hair by myself and then cut it
somewhere .
i know if i cut then dye i would save more color for my hair (so it would be enough)
but then if i cut it first the hairstylist would blow dry my hair and make it some style and that would go all to waste .
I hope you get my point.

Should i dye my hair before or after cutting it?

I want to put highlights in my hair and i also want a new style should i color or cut first? Also i have all one length hair and im wanting to try the latest style with the side swept bangs i think it usually looks good on everybody do you agree?I desperately need a change what should i do?Thanks

What should I pay my friend for hair cut and dye job?

My good friend has been doing my hair for about a year. We arrange a time and she comes to my house, usually just a trim and all over color. It's very causal, we spend 2 hours catching eachother up on our lives and then get to the hair....my question is how much should I give her as compensation?? If you did this for a friend how much would you like to recieve?? I don't want to be stingy! I usually give her 45 or 50 bucks.......and please don't give me "if she's a good friend she wouldn't expect anything in return" blah blah. Because if she's going do hair all day and spend her evening doing mine then I insist on giving something! But how much?

Should I dye my hair first or cut it?

cut it.

if you are going to color it at a salon- sometimes they charge coloring by the length.

if you are going to color it at home- you will need less dye to color your hair

either way, you win cutting your hair first.

After I cut my hair, how long should I wait to dye it?

After you have cut your hair to the desired length, you can immediately dye your hair anytime after that (presuming your hair has not been previously dyed before). Be sure that the hair is dry first, before colouring.

If the hair has been previously coloured and you just want to dye your roots soft black or cover grays, I suggest you just "touch up" the roots and leave the rest of the coloured hair.

You can preview the outcome colour of your hair by doing a strand test before you dye. Cut off a small snippet of hair, tape it together at one end to hold it, then mix a bit of the colouring and apply to the snippet of cut-off hair. Time how long it takes to dye that strand and this timing is how long you should dye your hair for.

If I dye my hair blue, can I dye it back or will I have to cut it off?

Technically, there are ways you can dye it back.Blue dye will fade eventually; depending on the shade, it will probably fade to greenish or light blue, but if you are really lucky (like I was ONCE,) it might fade to platinum. If it gets light enough, like almost blonde again, you can dye over it, maybe with a warmer blonde to neutralize the green.Alternately, there are color removers that can get the color out. I cannot personally recommend one, because I usually just reach for the bleach. (I heard the muffled screams from the peanut gallery: it’s fine. My hair is not, in fact, fried.) You can remove the color and then dye it back to natural.Hang on…I missed a step. Were you planning on bleaching it? Most cases vary, but usually blue dye over natural dark to medium blonde hair turns very turquoise. That might not be the blue you wanted, but if you DON’T bleach your hair there is a better chance of the color fading out completely. It’s a porosity thing…bleached hair is more porous and hangs onto color longer, while natural virgin hair lets it go more quickly.I HATE giving the “go see a stylist” answer, but…it might be worth asking one for this. Even just a consultation might give you a better idea .However, if you’re like me, you can always “just kinda go for it,” and trust that the rest will work out later. ;) Good luck!
