Should I Get Ps4 Or Alienware X51

Should i get ps4 xbox one or a alienware pc?

Always remember one thing consoles are no match for a PC . Why ???????????????
Because of this ------------------------
1.it allows hardware independence i.e. you can customise it and add all types ofhardware in it. but in consoles you have only a limited amount of attachments.
2.you can't have an experiment with games in consoles but in pc you can expand it programme it as you like.
3.there are many types of tasks that can be done on pc but on consoles you can perform limited amount of tasks.
4.console hardware is far more expensive than pc hardware.
5.on PCs you can do multi tasking but on consoles there is no way you can do multi tasking.

Now I think that you must have figured out that if you you have to choose between PC and a console
choose always PC. I am not saying to throw your consoles in trash , I am just saying that if you have to make a choice you should always choose PC . But , in this case Alienware is not that good buy .I know they look just exquisite but still they cost a lot . Just build your own PC it will cost almost half the money of an alienware PC . But still it is with you an alienware PC can also be better buy than xbox one and the ps4 . Plus initially there won't be many players on the XBOX one and ps4 so you should totally avoid these two .You also don't know what games will be available on them .

Should I get ps4 or an alienware computer?

Short answer: both. The alienware has lower specs than the PS4, PLUS the PS4 is specifically designed for gaming, so their components work for more efficiently together. Honestly, the PS3 and 360 can still play games that consoles can, and they have FAR lower specs, the reason they can play them is because of the way they're designed. Each and every component is designed to work hand in hand with the other, whereas PC's components need to work with a number if different components, so they won't be optimum in performance with any of the components. In short, PS4 will be better than the average PC for the same cost for close to 3-4 years. However, in 3-4 years, the average PC will be better than a PS4, but not until then. You can get a PC that functions similarly to the PS4 today, but it will cost you 1-2 grand or more, and the x51 is not going to beat it.
HOWEVER, if you want to do more than just play games, the x51 will still run most games for another couple years, but in 5-6 years time, you'll probably only be able to run on low settings. So, if doing more than gaming, the x51 is a good choice. If you just want a gaming machine, I HIGHLY recommend getting the PS4. It's cheaper and far superior, no matter what other people say.

Is this alienware x51 worth it?

For $899, no way.

A Core i5 is a better choice for a gaming build than Core i7, since no games (not even the highest-end titles like Battlefield 3 and Metro 2033) benefit from the Core i7's hyperthreading. Where Core i7 is worth the extra money is for people building computers to do video editing or 3D modeling/design work in AutoCad, Maya, Blender etc- not gaming.

Go with a Core i5 and put the extra $100 into a higher-end GPU, that gives you a more powerful gaming build than the Core i7 CPU with a lower-end GPU.

You can get better pre-built gaming computers for less, like this:

Even though the FX-6100 is a weaker CPU, the GPU difference dwarfs that.

But an even better choice is upgrading a unit yourself. Start with this:

Then upgrade to this PSU/graphics card combination:

That's $905, just $6 more... you've got the same CPU but a vastly more powerful graphics card:

Note where the Radeon HD 6870 sits compared to the 7850 in the charts above. The Alienware's GTX 555 is essentially an OEM GTX 460, a level below the 6870:

Alienware Alpha, what it can run?

The difference between the i3, i5 & i7 configurations of the Alpha is the processor (the Intel core), RAM (4 / 8 GB) & HDD space (0.5 / 1.0 / 2.0 TB)... Each configuration has the same graphics card, so they have similar graphical capabilities.

I cannot vouch for the i3 configuration, but the i7 configuration has done well for me. It's been able to run pretty much every game I've thrown at it have run at an acceptable level (at least 30 fps or higher). I haven't done any major benchmarking, but the games that I've actually looked at FPS's were Minecraft, which runs at 60 fps under default settings (will occasionally drop to 30 fps when other stuff is running in the background). GTA V runs around 30 - 45 fps under default settings @ 1080p, which is pretty much the most graphically intensive game in my library. If you run at only 720p, the framerate would be a bit higher

If you're considering getting an Alpha (which is a good mid-range "Console Class" gaming PC), I would recommend picking up a wireless keyboard + mouse / trackpad combo. The LogiTech K400r wireless keyboard + trackpad combo that costs ~$20 - $30 that works very well when you want to go into desktop mode (as handful of games on Steam, like Bionic Commando: Rearmed, needs to be downloaded & installed through desktop mode in order to work in console mode). Beyond that, HiveMindUI (the successor the less-useful AlienUI) is pretty good for Console Mode to work with the XBox 360 wireless controller. The USB Wireless receiver does support up to 4 XBox 360 controllers, so it's good for multiplayer stuff.

I'm pretty happy with my Alpha as I've been able to everything I want with it with minimal issues, including using a Steam Link (& Controller) away from my living room... but this is just my 0.02 MB here. Hope this helps!

Are Alienware laptops , in reality, better than any other top-notch customized laptop?

Best in the world's computer are being held by government. Civillian's best is just core i7 and stuff. I would actually recommend to not buy an expensive computer and buy ones like:

- Core i5 - i7

- 4/8GB (you don't need that much ram anyways)

- A good video card for gaming(Search on google for some)

Basically all the needs for gaming, this shouldn't lag at all. You don't need a 5,000 dollar computer to play games smoothly. All it takes is 1,000 bucks to play one smoothly!
