Should I Go To University Next Year

Is 22 years old too old to go to university?

I don't want to go this year because a guy who would be on the same campus as me forced me into "sex". I am scared of him. Plus I would be moving to uni, so I wouldn't have family for support. But he is in the last year of his course, so next year will be fine. As long as he doesn't do a post-graduate degree...

I am going to university next year for ECE. How can I make friends with the most intelligent students in first year and how do I identify them on the first day?

First of all, congratulations on getting admission to study ECE. I can understand why you have asked this question- this is because you want to excel in your field and you think being in the right company will help you achieve that.Hence i have to breakdown your question to two partshow to find productive people who will help you push yourself to flair better in your field? My advice is, when you get your courseworks or homeworks, identify active people in your class- people who wants to get their work done before the deadline and are asking good questions in your classes. Ideally these are the students who are mostly active, in the sense they are serious and passionate about their courses. What you can do is do you homeworks with them, ask if they are interested to join clubs such as robotics or engineering where you create stuffs because this is where your creativity will come into effect.2) Can these people become your friends?Well yes and no. Firstly, please do not choose friends based on intelligence, which really can't be measured, as it's highly subjective; they shouldn't be based on how clever or smart they are in your class.Your friends will be the ones you hang out with most, you share good university experiences and help each other in time of need. Because all of this boils down to how social the people that you deem smart or intelligent are.I would say if you're ambitious, you should try to become friends with people who have a good work life balance. This will boost your productivity!i personally had my closest of friends from other disciplines but I worked with people who were equally passionate as me in my class, during my undergraduate.it always pays to network. So network with people both on and outside your field.

Where should I go to university next year?

I think you need to first determine who you want to be - a programmer or a financial analyst. Even if you study for a financial analyst, you can study programming yourself. http://assignmenthelpers.com.au/... can help you with the analysis of these universities, but they need to understand by what criteria to evaluate. In your question you have not written anything about it.

I am going to university next year and I am doing IB. What should I buy Macbook or I pad pro?

I have a 12 inch iPad pro. I bought it for a particular use - as a library replacing many binders full of sheet music. I like it a great deal for that. And it works for me as a general Internet device. I don't draw much, but if I did, I think it would be a good gadget for that. But as a replacement for a computer, it just plain sucks. It is my first excursion into the Appleverse, so I might be blaming some things on the tablet that would be common with the Mac as well, including some that is just me being stuck on windows. Although Microsoft has been doing every thing they can think of to get me to buy an Apple computer next time. And my daughter, who is a Mac user, pretty much agrees with me about tablets. My end thought is that a tablet is a great thing. And the iPad pro is the best of my 4 tablets by a long stretch. But a tablet is only great if you specifically need a tablet. If you need what a general computer can do, get that instead.

Can i still get a DMM so i can go to university?

In my first year of college i was very distracted with problems and finished the year with 6 units and the grades were M M P P P P. My teacher said that i can go for the extended diploma next year and get the 18 units but i cannot change those units that are on my subsidiary diploma. Is it possible for me to get a DMM, i will be very focused this year and will put the work in. If i was to get distinctions throughout all the units?

Should I wait to do my PhD at University of Oxford next year or should I go to University of Sussex now?

I would suggest going to the University of Sussex now. The university is a public research university, which is good.Since a Phd takes a while, you may want to get started now.On the other hand, if you need money, then i would suggest obtaining a job until you can get started on your studies. If i had to choose, I would go now.In my opinion, the university does not matter, i look for a few key objects of interest.Library: This will be your study zone for a long time (if it is not already). I would suggest taking a day to visit the library of each university you want to go to and see if you like it.Type of university: Is it private or Public. Is it a research oriented, or does it lean towards the liberal arts. If you were obtaining your phd in science, you should go to the research oriented university, if your phd is in history, i would urge you go to the university that leans more towards the liberal artsFinally Price (optional): I put optional because scholarships and money previously saved up can help. Being realistic for a second, there is a price sticker for these universities. In the case of sussex, 6500 (yearly) is the cost for their computer science and mathematics degree. In the case of Oxford, about 4100 per year is the cost. These are just a few tips,. Best of luck with your studies.

What university or college should I apply for next year?

There are Reach college, colleges that one could get into and colleges one “should” get into (safety).Universities like MIT and Caltech (Math and Astronomy) are a Reach for everyone who applies and the admission rate for International students is less than 4%, making it a “real reach”.Take a hard look at an university like The University of Arizona, Tucson, ArizonaDepartment of Astronomy and Steward ObservatoryCollege of Optical SciencesEvery college has a Mathematics department, and UoA has a good one. But UoA has excellent colleges of Astronomy and Optics, on caliber with Caltech and MIT, but being larger it may be easier to get admitted.NOTE: This assumes that you need No (zero) financial aid from the college. If you can afford the $51,000 per Year, then with your credentials and interests (if you can do well in the TOEFL exam, e.g. greater than 100 and as close to 110 as possible), you should be able to get admitted to University of Arizona. NOTE: I also assume you can score in excess of 1400 in the new SAT. University of Arizona - U of A - The College BoardMoney talks and many of the US Public universities love to listen……….If you need a substantial amount of financial aid, then your chances of attending college in the USA are very low.NOTE: If University of Arizona thinks that you might have a shot at a MIT or Caltech, they may keep the annual cost to $40,000 per year for you……

Going to university next year, won't know anybody! I know this early...?

I moved across the country to attend University where I am currently studying, so obviously I knew absolutely nobody. To make matters worse, I was not familiar with the area in the least.

I started school at the end of September, and I have made so many amazing friends. I live with 2 roommates, and it's just great. I was worried too, and honestly, there's NOTHING to fear. Sure, you might get a bit anxious and the like being off on your own, but it's great the majority of the time. I'm sure you'll make lots of friends!

Also, people in University have had time to mature, and everyone (at least at my school) is very, very friendly. It's a COMPLETELY different vibe than High School! Enjoy. : )

Should I go to a good university now or wait a year to go to a better one?

Just my 2 cents, though my case was for MS/PhD. For a significant time, I was debating this since I did not receive admission to my top choices till very close to mid April. I had a few offers in hand, but they were not my top choices and I wasn't too happy with them. I was also plagued by personal and family issues, and hence was quite hesitant to go given the sub-optimal choice of universities. The advice most people gave me, and after thinking a lot made great sense, was to go to a university only if you are absolutely satisfied. Even if you have slight doubts or any second thoughts, its better to wait, take a gap year, and then go next year - either to the same place if you grow to like it; or to a better university if you get in. I have it on good authority that if you feel you can get into the top 10 schools, its well worth waiting an additional year. This one year in the long run will count for nothing, since careers are typically 35-40 years! However where you did your studies will stay with you forever. If you are not 100% satisfied with the admissions that you have got, and if you feel that you have a much better chance of getting into a top university next year, I will recommend that you shoot for it. Do some learning, and try to be actively involved with academics during the gap year. Solve a lot of puzzles and engage in intellectual activities/competitions etc. Best wishes :)
