Should I Have Gotten Disqualified

What should I do as I got disqualified in JEE Main for just 1 mark? I have 80 and the cutoff is 81. This was my second attempt.

Firstly, I think you should question yourself ?Do you really want to get into engineering field for the rest of your life ?Is engineering really your passion ? If not, then what is your passion ?Or you are just doing this under peer pressure ?Maybe your parents force you ?You didn’t study and were not serious at all ?You have to ask yourself such questions. If you really want to be engineer your lifeclearing JEE is not the only thing in life to become a successful engineer. There are many other universities too like VIT, SRM, Manipal, BITS which do not take students on the basis of JEE (M) but have their separate exams. You could focus on them. On the bright note even the CEO of Microsoft is not from NIT or IIT but Manipal. Satya NadellaIf engineering is not your passion, find your passion. Life is beautiful, don’t waste it where it is not worth it. I could have advised you to maybe drop a year if you want IIT or NIT desperately but since it was your second year in JEE (M), I dont think you should drop another year.Maybe, you are not made for it. I not being harsh but it the truth.Albert Einstein once said“ Everyone is a Genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole live believing that is stupid “If your parents force you, make them believe its not your type of life.Only you, I repeat only you can change your life and become whatever you want. And if you didn’t study, then you are the dumbest person in the world wasting a whole year and also not to mention your 11th and 12th class years (2 years of JEE preparation). Its high time now to think about your future and act according to it. I reallt won’t recommend you to drop another year and again end up nowhere. So Don’t Drop AgainStill you can get into other engineering colleges by VITEEE, SRMJEEE, BITSAT, MU-OET but its highly unlikely as you could not qualify Mains even after dropping a year. Thanks for A2A though…!!! Cheers

Should Chinese swimmer Sun Yang have gotten disqualified for his false start?

No. I was watching the coverage on CTV and they'd already called for the swimmers to step down because of audience disturbances. And that sound was the reason he took off - he was poised to start and mistook the announcer speaking over the loudphone for the starting gun. It wasn't a true false start - even the silver medal winner, Cochrane, said it was a legitimate error and he shouldn't have been booted.

What happens if you get disqualified from meps, can you got to another meps?

Your information is in the database. I had a couple recruits that tried to join through my office that had been DQ'd in Nevada. No go. Soon as I put in the social security # it flagged them. There is no way to bypass a MEPS DQ unless you 1. fix the issue that caused the DQ, or 2. you go to another branch that won't DQ you for whatever reason you were sent home before.

Can you get disqualified for enlisting if you have high cholesterol?

People say no, but then I read about people who got disqualified for it anyway, so I'm confused.

My Dad has high cholesterol, and my cholesterol may be slightly high due to my poor college diet.

So, should I leave out the fact my Dad has high cholesterol and my mom has high blood pressure when at MEPS?
And does high cholesterol in itself DQ you? I feel healthy, but I also felt healthy when I ate pints of ice cream every day for a month before visitng my doctor for my physical last year... (yeah...freshman 15)

When I went to the SSB, the whole group got disqualified. Why?

The answer of your doubt is very simple. The SSB conducted by the defense forces is to select like minded people who can become a great officer one day and can handle the worst situations in a calm and composed manner. This thing also happened with me and my group when we I had my SSB for TES entry at Allahabad and the reason was simple as nobody was listening to each other's point and it was a fish market situation. So your whole group was rejected maybe because of two reasons Defense forces is all about discipline and sticking to the point without wasting money and time of others. Maybe none of your group member was able to speak or discuss about the story and come to a conclusion Secondly you people created a fish market and wasn't listening to anyone. In this case the duty officer warn you and if you are being oblivious about his warnings, he would tell all of the group members to leave. In the second situation you can easily come out as a leader by listening to others gently and then softly raising your voice to make the whole situation calm and peaceful. This thing projects you as a team leader and you can easily put your point.Jai Hind.

Boyfriend got disqualified from Labor Ready and can't do it for 12 months, is that even possible?

I've never heard of any temp agency "disqualifying" anyone. Maybe you should go to a different temp agency if things aren't working out with them.

Do the other branches of military find out if you were disqualified from another one?

I have recently found out I am permanantly disqualified from the Air Force for making a stupid decision in the past and confessing it. They suggested that I try another branch of military "for they may be less strict" (from a recruiter) on the mistake I made. However, I do not want to mess things up again by repeating the mistake. I was young, stupid, wreckless and I understand why they would DQ me for it. But we are all stupid when we are young, plans change and those stupid things you did now have repercussions.

But my question is, if I go into another branch and neglect to mention it, will it show up and have harsh penalties? I need to know if my chances at being in another branch are now stomped out by this.

I recently got disqualified from the military because of bad vision. What options do I have to get ahead in life before I get LASIK and try again?

The US Army's AR 40-501 says:"...Current refractive error (hyperopia (367.0), myopia (367.1), astigmatism (367.2)), or history of refractive error prior to any refractive surgery manifest by any refractive error in spherical equivalent of worse than -8.00 or +8.00 diopters does not meet the standard. However, for entrance into USMA or Army ROTC programs, the following conditions do not meet the standard: (1) Astigmatism, all types over 3 diopters. (2) Hyperopia over 8.00 diopters spherical equivalent. (3) Myopia over 8 diopters spherical equivalent. (4) Refractive error corrected by orthokeratology or keratorefractive surgery. e. Contact lenses. Current complicated cases requiring contact lenses for adequate correction of vision, such as corneal scars (371) and irregular astigmatism (367.2), do not meet the standard..."In other words if your presurgical refractive error did not meet the requirements for enlistment of for entrance into an officer program, you still won't be accepted.  You can ask for a waiver.  Be persistent.
