What are some good cat names?
Absolutely anything except “Kitty.” They don’t like that. They prefer something important sounding with multiple syllables, and especially if the name has a first, last, and several middle names to go with it, possibly something like “Katrina Sue Belle Anderson.” Hurricane names are always good choices, as are planets, moons, gods, goddesses, royalty, or obscure botanical names. There is another category (“Category,” that’s an okay name, by the way) of unacceptable names: triple crown winners. No self respecting cat will answer to “Secretariat.” Political names are a possibility, but be certain of the cat’s party affiliation before you name it. I have know some cats that could have worn the name “Hillary” with pride. I still have the scratch marks, as a matter of fact. Some of them love to be called by porn star names. If you are a James Bond fan, Pussy Galore would be a fine name. James Bond, yeah that works too.Just noticed that your 1st cat is named Hammerhead. In that, case Goblin would be a good name, since that is another shark species. Cat’s like those power names!Excuse me now, it’s time for my cat, Mel, to come in. “Here, kitty kitty kitty kitty!”
What should my friend name his cat?
We named our new cat (Profile picture) after a character from Disney Channel. I see a lot of people that have named their cat off of something from a T.V. show or a movie. But, when a child names the pet it would be like fluffy, mittens, socks, you know like something to pertain with their appearance to the fur. By the way, that way is the wimpiest way to go but, choose as you must. My parents came up with a GENIUS name for their cat before I was born, and i think nothing can top it. They named it C.A.T but when you say all three letters as one word you hear “Seeatee” (See-ae-tee; if you can’t spell and read). Anyway, its up to you! My Pastor has a cat and named him Malachi witch is one of the books of the Bible, I found that neat too.
Should I name my cat Romulus?
I have adopted a gray male cat, and he is 4 years old. I teach Latin so I would like to name him Romulus after the legendary founder of the Roman people. Romulus is pronounced "RAWm-yoo-luss." What do you think of the name? Do you know the reference?
