Should I Play Through Skyrim Before Buying The Dlc

Should I buy DLC for Skyrim?

Dawnguard is great if you really want to hunt vampires or become a more powerful vampire than the kind in the game before DLC.

But dragonborn was great. It's long which is nice to see from a DLC and it's not easy so the difficulty is nice and it's also just a really interesting story. Defeating the original dragonborn.

Do you have to restart Skyrim to play the DLCs?

No. I know with dawnguard you just keep living your life and eventually some guy comes up to you and is like "bro, there's like vampires or whatevs chillaxing about, why dont you head over to that old fort by riften and do some work" and you can either be like "pffft im the dragonborn vampires arent my bag" (which is stupid because you just spent money on this expansion) or "I'm bout to make it rain garlic all over this cell block". Then midway through you can choose whether or not to do the vampire stuff or the dawnguard stuff.

Should I buy Skyrim for Xbox 360?

Buy the Legendary edition with the updates and DLC, because those are the only reason you'd need to go online. It's a singleplayer game. Unless you're thinking of the Elder Scrolls Online, which is a different game. ESO happens in the same world (Tamriel) but a few hundred years before the events of Skyrim, and it's an MMO so yeah you'd need to be online to play.

Do you still get all the DLC's if you buy The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Legendary Edition preowned?

Buying from gamestop and it's more expensive then the normal version. Want to clear things up before I give them any of my money just to find out I was ripped off.

Should I finish playing Skyrim vanilla first before playing with mods installed?

Spend some time getting to know the vanilla game. Don't download mods that drastically change the gameplay; first, think about what you wish was different about the experience. Then, start browsing the Nexus or the Steam Workshop just to get a feel for what's out there. The only two mods I would download out of the gate are the Skyrim script extender (SKSE, search for it on Google) and SkyUI (on the Nexus). The former you need to make the vast majority of game-altering mods work. The latter makes the menus easier to navigate, with more filters, which I'd argue is a necessary extension for PC players. After that, Skyrim is your oyster. There are so many good mods it's hard to start. I found that many of the mods that are the most popular were good starting points, but not exclusively; every player is different. Many mods make little tweaks, like changing the weight of potions, but some of them are heavy duty, changing entire skill trees or adding new magic effects. I found that it's good to exercise some restraint. Download a few mods, try them out, uninstall if they're not what you're looking for. Build up your mod library slowly but surely till you have the gameplay you want.I've beaten Skyrim's main quest on the legendary difficulty with a vanilla game. I've also had something like 40+ mods running at once, and that's meager by the standards of some mods junkies. At this point, I can't imagine playing Skyrim without mods, but I know that if I had to, it would still be one of the best games I've ever played.

Skyrim Dawnguard DLC question!?

Im not sure if i want to get Dawnguard, bc i do not know if i have to get further in the story line (im at aldiwens wall quest) to play. do i have to get far or even beat the game? does dawn guard affect the main questline or side quests in skyrim? ALSO i have read that when dawnguard is active it makes vampires randomly attack towns (kinda like dragons) but they are able to wipe out cities. i dont want that to happen bc i can loose quests and things. please explain this dlc and how it affects the actual main game (specifically the vampires attacking cities, i dont like the idea of having wiped out cities) thank you

Skyrim Dragonborn DLC Free?

How much will cost this Skyrim Dragonborn DLC on Xbox 360. Today I'm planing to use my MS points on this Skyrim Dragonborn DLC, so is this worth to buy? Any one already playing this?

Can I still buy and install the original Skyrim on Steam before Bethesda removes it from the store? When Bethesda removes t from the store, can I still play it if I downloaded it?

You might consider purchasing a Steam key from the likes of the Humble Store(Humble Bundle) or Fanatical(formerly Bundle Stars). You can get the Legendary Edition with all the DLC for $39.99 US which is cheaper than getting vanilla Skyrim for $19.99, Dawnguard and Dragonborn for $19.99 each and Hearthfire for $4.99(so basically the same as the Special Edition’s usual cost). You might be able to find even cheaper physical copies of the game on the likes of Amazon that will let you install vanilla from DVD and include Steam keys for all the DLCs. When you activate it on Steam, it will be tied to your account so that even if the store page gets removed you should still be able to install the game(if you uninstall it for whatever reason), and the ability to play should be a given.

How to buy plot near Whiterun in skyrim??(hearthfire DLC)?

A courier will deliver a letter to you saying they have some land available to purchase. There are only three places you can purchase land. One is close to Morthal, another close to falkreath, and another is in between Dawnstar and whiterun. So the Jarl's of Morthal, Falkreath, and Dawnstar will be the ones that send you letters about land. The only thing you can buy in the whiterun hold as far as housing, is Breezehome. The Hearthfire dlc does not include a plot of land for whiterun. But once you get the letter, you have to do a quest, and then they will tell you to talk to the steward about a plot of land, and then you can go and build your home. Hope this helped.
