This is sneaky but.. make sure nothing is coming up on your calender cause then they will say no you cant go... No just come forward and say it because you will get a letter from the state saying heres a ticket that you have to pay... so they will find out one way or another.. Just be responsible your 17 here is one way to tell your parents.. that is if you come out with it just say.... Hey mom and dad sit down we need to talk because I messed up bad.. and they will listen.. next you say I know having a car is a big responisibility... well I got a speeding ticket and you know I feel like I did something really bad.. you know what it was really hard to tell you guys that I got a speeding ticket... cause I know you would get mad.. but Im gona be responsible and take account of my mistake and do whatever it takes to pay off this speeding ticket... sooo they cant be mad at you for learning and growing.... but one thing you have to get out of your head is how can I get out of it.. because your not.. even if you do have the money to pay it off right then and there your insurance goes up.. Honestly, the best way to handle it is to just tell them immediately that it happened (so they can't be mad at you for trying to hide it,) and just admit that you screwed up (since making excuses shows you are trying to avoid responsibility.) Sure, they will still get mad at you, but if you just immediately admit that you screwed up and ask for them to help you get through it, they will be there to support you, even if they also punish you some.
